And that is why am not in the support of post UTME because once a candidate is not subjected to another exam I don't see why such a candidate will choose a school far from his/her location.
I have a friend who came all the way from Plateau state to Abeokuta just because he wanted to study agriculture and FUNAAB has a good reputation in agriculture and in Nigeria there are only 3 universities of agriculture. Hence ,choosing a suitable location is necessary not just because of the distance but also because of what u stand to gain.

One is usually notified like at least weeks before the exam. What about a case where one is offered admission and one is required to come the school the following week for clearance?
What about the living conditions of this candidates? Does the school make provisions for were they could pass the night. Tell me if you are asked to come and write another exam will you be leaving on the day of the exam?

I strongly disagree with that because with the corruption in the aspect of conducting utme exam, post utme is the only way to make sure admission is given to those who deserve it. Unlike utme exam where runs are given to students, there is nothing of such in post utme exam.
Don't be too sure, as far as Nigeria is concern it happens both in utme and post utme.

post utme is the only way to make sure admission is given to those who deserve it? Which university will admit candidates that did not meet Jamb cut off mark, even though they had great scores in Post UTME. A very good example is Babcock University that asked candidated that pass its post utme and whose name are in its admission list but fail to meet jamb's cut off mark not to bother paying acceptance fee. What can you say to this?

It's usually unlikely, the case is always low, unlike the JAMB UTME that is rampant. Unless if the institution has lost her credibility for exams.

He has passed the only exam that has qualified him to be admitted. But he was subjected to another exam. Can't his dream of studying in that school be dashed by writing post UTME.

Based on the example you sited. If a candidate is admitted without going for post UTME such a candidate will have enough time to plan ahead of the journey unlike going for an exam were he/she knows not his/her faith.
Every university notifies it's aspirants at least a week before their post utme exam and besides, every aspirant should be ready at any time for the exam.

The chance of it being "vulnerable and bastardized" in your language is low, which is unlikely because it is conducted by the school herself. The exam is usually being conducted like the normal exam.
do I need to enlighten u of how students see Post UTME questions before exam day? Do I need to remind you of how mercenaries seat unbehalf of students in post utme exams? Post utme is no saint! It is only an avenue for our tertiary institution to make money.

I guess this should answer your question, if one really deserves admission into the institution, one must have passed the JAMB UTME, but we both know most candidates employ unethical means to pass the exam. So the Post-UTME was introduced to sieve the qualified candidates from those who cheated. It will be hard for most candidates to cheat in the JAMB UTME and Post-UTME too. And most of the time, those that cheated are being "caught" in the post-UTME by not being able to pass the post-UTME.

From an audience: Wah bou to cancel Jamb?? Post utme is fine! Jamb only is worst! One is okay! It shouldn't be two exams! Two is much!

Don't just say that, give me a proof. No examination that is 100% free of cheating. But the chance of cheating is usually low in a well-structured exam. Unlike JAMB-UTME, which of course we all know that cheating is a norm.

The fault is to jamb because before u can write post utme it means u have met the schools cutoff mark and besides Babcock is a private university .
