Appointments should be based on merit. I had expected the President to have penciled down his team since March 30th but it appears he hasnt still come to terms that he is now the President of Nigeria. APC as it is constituted is a disoriented nepotistic crackhouse that should allow the Daura President to think straight and make priority appointments based on merit.
You seem to be very sure he hasn't pencilled them down already... But tell yourself the truth for once na, how do u think the names ain't ready? All those guys re just unsettled because they haven't been able to know who nd who are in the list. If you still dey vex say Buhari na President now, that one concern you sha....

But he didn't choose the people from otuoke and the ones he chose of what good are they? Wake up, he is an ex now, he has done his part.

Since we the citizen can decide who to rule us, we have the power to tell our leaders what we want.. I am not an ethnic/tribalistic bigot I deal with reality bros..

We need people that can work for us...

What I am simply saying is that the man should be allowed to choose competent hands, technocrats from wherever he wants to get them to do the job... I don't really care about their tribes... Working Nigeria is all I need. Appointing across board is his business my brother all I want for him is to choose the right people for the task at hand...

This secrecy of not declaring his assets to the general public was not what we were promised nor voted for.

He should be reminded dat wen we clamoured, campaigned and voted for him, we didnt do dat in secret neither did we consult anyone for dat

Never put your trust in man. I just pity you. What you are asking for does not matter at this level of our development. Whether you accept it or not both men will corruptly enrich themselves, their families and associates. As long as they broaden and deepen democracy while elevating national consciousness and of course restructuring.

I don't expect western style probity in a 16 year old democratic journey in a 55 year old country.

If after Amaechi locks out the judiciary for two years while. Innocent Nigerians die in prison

If after Amaechi abandoned governance for over 2years at the expense of rivers people

If after Amaechi conducted a legally unallowed election 6days to leaving office

If after Amaechi has owed civil servants despite receiving the highest allocation and derivation in 8yrs

If after Amaechi has taken impunity to the next level by avoiding a hand over to his successor. .... and he forms Buhari's cabinet

Then Buhari might have to explain to Nigerians what corruption means and tell.us about his proposed fight against same.
bless you

People have been shouting change but we are still seeing the same old thing, choose people based on merit, no, they are stiil choosing by tribe. Then everyone will wonder why nothing works in this country. Federal character is nonsense, competence should be the watchword

Ideally I would've agreed with you if you were talking about countries like usa. But do you honestly think we are mature enough to think about the whole country? Do you honestly think a cabinet filled with 95% northerner will not favour the north?
Please be realistic, in an ideal world the best solution is to choose the best regardless of tribe, but Nigeria doesn't do that.

So why aren't we being realistic in not expecting the best from government when we cannot give our best as a people in overlooking tribal sentiments. Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria not government. The limitations to the 'change' regime is set by the people. They removed Buhari in 85 and they will determine whether he succeeds this time around.

At the moment this is a fantasy talk and it isn't implementable.
There are still millions of uneducated people in the north who only care about poltical power at the expense of their own welfare. Then you have a vocal and tribalistic biafra groups who are might feel even more marginalised if you tell them none of their citizens are good enough.
These things take a gradual process, so the best thing for now is to chose the best candidates from each tribes.
I believe each tribe is more than enough to produce many excellent candidates for any position.
There are many things we all want to happen in this country(e.g peaceful coexistence between Muslim and Christian, zero corruption), but we need to prepare the platform for it.

We all want that, but Nigeria is not ready for it. Imagine a cabinet with all southsouth including the president, do you think war will not break out?
We need to work on integrating all tribes before giving a poltical correct statement you are giving.
Please be practical. I also want zero corruption, blindness to tribe etc but for we are not there yet

Yes we are not there yet but we can start from somewhere, right? I believe this man oooo, he knows what to do to satisfy all the whole geo politics zones. Who ever he chooses, I still don't give a bleep, Nigeria must work that's just it. Buhari might not end being the eventual savior, but he might end laying a strong foundation for the next government coming to power. Let's just keep praying...

God bless Nigeria....

Most people talk with very uninformed background of our geo-political and military realities.

Apart from the fear of IMPEACHMENT by the reps and senators of the more unified 19 northern states compared to the south's disparaged 17 states, there were real fears and at least two attempts on his life! It is a miracle he completed his first term and ACHIEVED so much in the period.

Anyone who is keen to understand what I am talking about should read about the Egyptian revolution and how the ELECTED civilian president is now sentenced to death by the military COUPIST who overthrew him! shocked

Bro i kwn all abt all these things u are saying!. That is the more reason he shud have ignore all the pressure from his kingsmen on 2nd term.

Then the backwardness of Nigeria is not about government but the limitations of the people. What you are saying in effect is that until the average Nigerian is educated we can change government till eternity, as long as they use the same organisational formula, development will remain superficial. It is the structure afterall.

I am very happy that you also know unlike most of our fellow citizens who speak from a point of ignorance.

I think it is very good for our nation and democracy that we went through the process with Jonathan exercising his constitutional right and being HOUNDED out of power by the "owners" of Nigeria and their collaborators who choose to remain their slaves. His peaceful concession is also noteworthy!
It will serve as a reference point as we move along.

It is terrible, which is why I pity those uninformed and mis-informed southerners who were chanting change like sey dem comot dem brain.
Very soon their eyes will open but then it may be too late.

Most forgot how ALL the northern candidates, including Ribadu stepped down for Buhari in 2011 yet he lost. The alliance with Tinubu this year and better packaging by AKPD Media really helped them achieve their objective of shoving Jonathan aside as that is what happened effectively.
