- Janes does not say the Rooivalk is obsolete
- Modernity of the Hind E is irrelevant when it does not posses the capabilities of the Rooivalk
- The Rooivalk is a South African designed and built helicopter
- Provide citations for UK, Australia and Malaysia turning down the Rooivalk.

Henry, again i say:

1. Aquire a helicopter with the same or better capabilities as the Rooivalk
2. Build and deisgn a domestic weapons system with the same or better capabilities

And then we will discuss the Rooivalk.

A man with a donkey cannot insult another mans horse.

I wonder how any bomb dropped from an F-7 jet will fall at a 90 degree angle towards a frigate, unless dropped in a vertical dive. If the pilot released his bomb at 26 000 feet and then only starts to pull of of his dive, simple laws of physics dictate his turn circle will be well within Umkhonto's range....which means a dead pilot wink.

If he releases his bomb well above 26 000 feet and pulls out of the dive above that height, your target will be LONG gone. See related pic wink. Harmless bombs falling into the water.

Released in horizontal flight, bombs will have a parabolic arc. Hence no need for 90 degree elevation for our naval guns.

Oh and I seem to recall a certain well known reta.rd asking us how our Hawk/Gripen jets will be able to see targets "through the clouds" when flying at 5.5km (above Roland missile ceiling). I wonder if he's able to explain how F-7 pilots will see "through the clouds" at 8 km when making their final bomb run. A full 2.5 km of "extra cloud grin" to blind the pilot. ATR-42 can give general position of target, but the F-7 pilot is still has zero visual.

When people spew cra.p on here and hope others forget.

I don't know what Nigeria had ever done? Nigeria has manufactured fokol (nothing) throughout its existence.

Like it or not, SA has manufactured Atlas Orynx and Rooivalk.

We don't care what the world says because they are irrelevant into what we have achieved so far, that no country in Africa has ever achieved what we have done.

None of those things are particularly advanced, and none fall within the gambit as an advanced combat platform.

You need to:

a. Produce a system with the same or superior capabilities as the Rooivalk
b. Domestically produce a system with the same or superior capabilities as the Rooivalk

And then I will happily discuss the Rooivalk with you.

Until then, the topic is moot.

Produce a bomb disposal Robot and rocket pod....do it like Nigeria !

Deal with it.

SAN official website disputes your error loaded citations. Soweto navy says they only have 76mm compact, nothing super or rapid in your navy.

Neither of your sources claim what you said.

1. Where does it say that South African media is pushing for Pretoria to strengthen links with abuja
2. Where is this article about a Diplomat discussing "behind closed doors" policy in South Africa
Same old patchesagain, no honour , no dignity.

I just proved how south African government gas been insecure with Nigeria's status behind closed doors and make congratulatory speech in public, how south African government are fearful that every aspect she has as an edge on the continent has been surpassed by Nigeria.

And now you have shifted the goal post and want more, lezz is always about more and I shall always oblige you........

85 degrees is just 5 degrees of 90

You first said 85 degrees is straight up....I had to give you Sunday Maths lesson, 85 degrees is slant, simple geometry that 50 million South Africans cannot know until Nigerians teach them.

Straight up = 90 degrees = perpendicular in geometry

85 is NOT = 90

Question for 10 points: What is a radar-horizon?

It is the thing I explained over one year ago when I lectured your South African navy officer here that NNS Aradu Otomat missiles only needs helicopter guidance if the range of target is over the horizon of the ships radar guidance/fire control
.

85 degrees is just 5 short of 90 (straight up)

You said that the planes will be flying above Uhmkonto range - so they will be above the ship and that 35mm can engage them

No, the actual horizon has nothing to do with a radar-horizon

So, for 10 points: What is a radar-horizon?
