This is highly insensitive of these banks, considering customers who are students abroad. My friend has been having card issues for a while now. I wonder what happens after the 30th of June. shocked

Point is... If this is the queue for BVN, then where is the queue for entering the bank for other transactions? .... Abi na giving out BVN number be that branch only work?

Shey na by force make dem do am for that bank? ... Since this stuff can be done at any bank, not necessarily one's bank, why suffer when you can easily go to a bank with a lesser queue and get it done?

This stuff can be done at any bank, not necessarily one's bank. Why waste time in a long queue when you can easily go to a bank with a lesser queue and get it done?

This stuff can be done at any bank, not necessarily one's bank. Why waste time in a long queue when you can easily go to a bank with a lesser queue and get it done?

The information highlighted above is not entirely accurate. You can only be enrolled in a bank where you have an account as you will have to be verified and authenticated. Once you've been issued the BVN, you can then submit it at any other bank where you have accounts so it's linked.

I noticed that many people decided to wait till this dying minute to get their BVN.

It is partly the fault of the CBN and the banks for not properly educating the public on the importance of the BVN.

Some weeks ago I asked one of my friends if she has gotten her BVN, she asked me what it was all about and told me that she never got any message from her bank on the BVN thing.

Looking at the number of people that I see in banks waiting to get theirs, there is every likelihood that the closing date will be extended.

Which closing date? What about those that will open account next month....They can't close it till the end of this year.

Yes, it will affect ATM but not immediately. After sometime, they will start blocking the access to ATM for those who haven't got their BVN

Diamond bank is useless. I did this bvn stuff last year and no notification was sent to me. Came to confirm why I didn't get a notification this year and they said they can't find any record of my bvn application and that I can't do the registration stuff twice undecided

Got my BVN since january. The bank kept sending me messages almost every month from june last year till i finally got registered in january.
There was no proper education on the importance of the BVN.
