nope....4 best 3rd place teams. So far, only New Zealand gets a spot on that basis.

3 spots to go. By tomorrow morning, we'll know what's left
Yeah, & also 1 down from d 2 3rd placed teams dat would crash out(Argentina). Nigeria can qualify tomorrow if d 3rd placed team in grp C finishes with 1 or 2 pts.I.e if Senegal (on 1pt) vs Qatar (on 0pts) ends in a draw.

All teams in D already have 3pts.

However if Senegal wins (likely) & one of d games in grp D ends in a draw, Nigeria must atleast earn a draw to stand a chance of qualifying.

Not forgeting that Fiji hu are 3rd in grp F already have 3pts. If dey draw their last match and the other situations as i explained above prevail, 3pts can only see Nigeria through If Germany beats Honduras.

based on our performance in the first 2 games I will prefer we meet another team in round of 16 but we still have one more game to go and I am sure that the boys will definitely defeat hungary on sunday, so I have no option but to sail with them as we meet germany.

One thing you need to understand is that we all support this team, we all want the best for them and we are all aware of what they can do. But truly the team is not yet at their best level(things I hope would change after Hungary game). We hope and pray that Hungary match brings out the real beast in them.
yes have no worries, they will be at their best. the team knows the challenge before the smiley smiley

You said we're the African champion, does that makes us unbeatable? The Argentina that you mention, were they not the champion of their own region? Yet still, they were eliminated at the group stage. When Ghana won this championship in 2009 where they the champion of Africa? You guys should stop calculating football as if is an arithmetics. AVOID GERMANY NOW SIMPLE
and what will u tell us the true fans here by the time we humble the German team u so dread come round of 16? will u have faith in our boys then? for u to do well in football games then fear no foe, take every game serious with a winning mentality, i don't like this avoid this team and that mentality most of u shaky fans have here. so if u were our coach u will tell ur boys to play to a draw with Hungary to avoid Germany? funny. so what if hungary pull a late goal and beat us? we crash out and become a laughing stock all because u re trying to avoid germany. we go watch how our gallant boys go put a lot of paper fans to shame

First of all, it is very funny for you to think players like Enaholo and Awoniyi will acclimatize in three weeks. Even if they were in Auckland. During the Hungary Brazil match, some Brazilians were wrapped in blankets.

Whoever selected Germany as the camp venue and said it is the same weather needs to go back to primary school. So he can learn temperature difference.

Frankfurt Germany's temperature today = 72°F
Auckland New Zealand's temperature today = 50°F

The gap is too much especially for players coming from Lagos Nigeria = 77°F.

Those that camped at Sydney Australia got it right. Temperature = 52°F

lexyman:

But they have not really complained about weather acclimatization, if their is anything like that ? The. it's a failure on the part of Nff , they chose the wrong preparation venue .... so they say "that part of Germany where they had the preparation has the same weather with Newzealand ....so bro ,what are u talking about ?
Three weeks is a enough for their body to adjust . That excuse is not valid ...the problem the team had at the first leg was selection error , having too many good hands for the job .if Manu had been very firm , the result would have been positive and we will not be in this state .

Seems you are a Chelsea fan
You are expecting the Flying Eagles to be parking Trailers in every match just to win the Tournament grin grin grin
FC Barcelona is on the verge of winning treble with attacking football!!!
Guy! We shouldn't underrate nor overrate any opponent. We can do it, if we believe we can! You and I agree that the Team is full of talents, we should just hope they play to their standards and do us proud against any Team!
Up Super Flying Eagles!!!

Ain't Chelsea. Been a United Fan since 1997. True, Barcelona plays attacking football. But it's d way they defend that has been key. Quite unconventional. They defend with the ball (The only team that does this. They keep the ball so well that opponents see so little of it. If u don't have the ball u can't bite) and they defend without the ball (when they do lose possession they press aggressively high up the pitch often in packs of 2's or 3's blocking the spaces between the opposition's players limiting space and time to think thereby forcing errors from the opposition)

That is what u get when u dnt give d right people d job.
It is even summer in the Northern hemisphere while it is winter in d Southern hemisphere. Meaning Germany is experiencing Summer while New Zealand is experiencing Winter.

And who knows frozen fingers could b responsible for Enaholo's slip dat led to d 4th goal. Jst saying o.

The error by the NFF officials is too much. I have been wondering what happened to these boys. They looked so promising in preparation for the competition. They looked a shadow of themselves in this tourney.

I believe as they go on, they will acclimatize and perform better.

Imagine them calling it the same weather.

Apologies to Awo and Enaholo. I have yab them until I am tired.

Sad this mistake from the NFF caused these boys a chance to put up a good show for the top Man City officials and top scouts in the stadium in the match against Brazil.

There is something most of us are not considering when it comes to this tournament. With Argentina crashing out, Iit shows external factors also affected the performances of players.

I think the weather also plays a role in performance. I think our boys have not adjusted to the weather and that is why their performances have been below their known level. Note, Argentine weather is warm and not chilly as what these players are used to.

I agive kudos to the Ghanaians for their performances and I think their choice of camping location helped them acclimatize to the weather.

I see the Super Flying Eagles improving as the game progresses and we will see them performing better.

Maybe Awo's brain will take correction and he will score more. I tip Awo to score a brace in the next game.

#TeamNacho, #TeamSuperFlyingEagles.
I see Awoniyi scoring a heart trik against the German teams. This FE team is going to demolish the Germans. Am not even afraid of the Germans at all. Why? Because I have refused to rate this team based on their 2 matches so far but for what they are known for.
I even believe strongly that our match against them may be the turning point in this competition. The Germans may also underrate the Super Flying Eagles such that things may work to our adv.

I agree that the Germans might salivate on the chance of meeting the Super Flying Eagles. But, they will get a shocker. First of all, let us face these Hungarians.

By the way, a big thank you to the couple that sent Eba and Soup to these guys. They can not battle acclimatizing to weather and getting used to food at the same time.

You have to walk before you can run. Do you realise that Flying Eagles might crash out of the World Cup?
Stop worrying about Germany and clear the Hungary obstacle first.

If Nigeria can beat Hungary without any problem, Germans would be a walk over. I rate Hungarians and Austrians stronger than the Germans.

Let's worry about the Hungarians first.

I really don't understand the sort of fans we have here. Ghanaians were derided here when they struggled against Austria. I have always thought that they would do well in their group and I'm vindicated. Argentina unfortunately were the unluckiest team in this World Cup. They deserved more.

Nothing is wrong with awoniyi. The guy has played well in this tournament. He mustn't necessarily score to prove anything. He has been brilliant for the team.

Look at his contributions, he hasn't scored but he has made the goals for his team mate. His hard works, hustles and passes has enabled his better positioned team mates to score.

Manu appreciates his qualities and team work more than any other thing. Goals can come from anywhere. If iheanacho played and worked hard for the team like awoniyi did, Nigeria wouldn't have lost the match against Brazil. I don't know where you lot got this news about acclimatisation. I don't think the weather has affected his game.

No one doubts the brilliance and work rate of Awo or any player of the Flying Eagles. But, they are a far cry from the team we saw in the AYC and friendlies.

We never saw Enaholo make such mistakes before. Awo's misses against Brazil and North Korea are shocking. This is a guy that came of the bench to score three goals in a friendly match.

His overall game play might be impressive to the coaches of the flying Eagles. But, the scouts who came to watch Awo, came to see why this young Nigerian wonder kid is a promising goal machine for any club that signs him.

The flying Eagles team that I know is the team that won super 6, played in Ghana and the AYC. I have never been more relaxed with any team.

Get me that team any day, they might not win with 4-0, 5-2 but they would get the result. I miss that boy Obinna nwobodo. Hope he recovers fully and realise his potentials.

Those were the boys that smacked enyimba even with sokari, did same to pillars even with experienced Ali and co, came from Ghana unscathed, met them again at Senegal. I believe that team would get result in this tournament.

The likes of Simon, iheanacho and success might be good players but I'm concerned more about their overall contribution to the team. Awoniyi is the man who does all that. I think he would score. Success might have scored two goals but let's appreciate the boots that supplied those passes to him.

Like I said, the team that played in AYC Is different from this team. The nearest to the AY team was the team that played North Korea.

German trip to me wasn't enough to assess this team, mind you, iheanacho and success were not there. Even in their last game against nurnburg. The revelations were Godwin saviour with Muazaam knocking on the door, let's not forget the likes of Alfa.

In Brazil's game, two players who never trained or played competitive matches with the team walked in: iheanacho and success in hindsight were costly mistakes. The flying Eagles that we know should have won that match by 2-1. Their strength is the cohesion and ability to help each other. For those shouting Simon, he might be a good player but can he return and chase ball like bulbwa, Godwin? Can return just in time to help Musa who likes to bomb forward and supply passes? The old flying Eagles's style of play gave him the chance to move forward like Cafu. The likes of idowu, nwobodo always return invade the opponents intercept and lunch counters.

I didn't see those in the first game. The laxity of the forwards in that game meant the the likes of Ifeanyi couldn't play confidently like we all know...well for those who know his qualities. It wasn't a surprise that the so called big boys were benched. Iheanacho is a good player no doubt, we saw what he did at Southampton and against Man U but I would still keep him on the bench and bring him in when he is needed in the second half.
