The phones can look the same,the price point can be the same ,thats at the discretion of the makers.
The jiayu s3 and s3 advanced looks the same with minimal price difference, yet no one critisized them. Samsung had a galaxy s3 variant with 2gb selling for the same price with the international version with 1gb yet no one coughed.
Samsung s4 with snapdragon 600 is better than the exynos variant yet everyone is fine with them selling at the same price.
innjoo just released the innjoo note pro with 2gb ram(only difference),everybody agrees its a differnt phn.
y then, is the inote pro different?
why is every1 criticizing infinix for trying to stay competitive.
Aggrieved ihot note users should blame themselves for buying too early.

i just bought my infinix hot note, when i download, it doesnt install and most music player and video player does no play on my phone. how do i resolve this? kindly help

For your information sir, we're not aggrieved. Neither are we criticizing PRO users. It really seems you're not getting it. I'm not pleased with three things, and they are;


1. Timing: They should have allowed 2 or 3 months to pass before producing the PRO

2. Price difference: I don't know if other Note users are pleased or not about the 1.5k difference but for me, it makes me puke. How can you produce a 'PRO' of a phone and make it as cheap as the first one? I just don't get it. I feel cheated. I'm angry sef. Lol

3. Specs: A 'PRO' should be different from its predecessor in almost every way if not all. Imagine just a difference of 2gb RAM & 32gb ROM. The camera pixels should be higher. They should improve its battery capacity. Even improve its processor to 1.7ghz Octacore. There is even no screen protector included. Corning glass? Super Armoled? Gorilla glass? Tempered nko? We're not even sure if it'll be upgradable to Lollipop. The only thing I'm okay with is thescreen size. Anything bigger would have been 'too much'.

These are only my opinions though. I stand to be corrected also.

U hit it, my xiaomi redmi 1s, is just 8mp back camera buh my sister dat uses Samsung s4 uses it to snap, crystal clear no need of editing, infinix could have just changed it to 13mp without improving the camera, but dey didn't want to, megapixels are mostly overhyped in these Chinese brands, just manage wat u have, peace out

Just press the black dot on the waving answer and it would become green like other, then you can pick calls by waving ur hands over the censor

However, iHote PRO doesn't deserve the tag pro because it's just another variant of the phone. iHote PRO should have gorilla glass, NFC, Better Display, Of course better RAM, Higher Clocked processor, and better performing Graphics processing chipset.

I get your point but i want you to understand that its market forces that determines the release of phones . Innjoo released their note pro,infinix had to answer in kind to remain competitive.
there is a 3month gap between the release of the two phone,and infinix is not alone here ,sony is also culpable.check the time frame between z1,z2 and z3.
As for the little price difference,did you really expect the inote pro to b priced @33k in order to keep ihot note users happy?
This is naija,the price has to be as low as possible to remain competitive.

AS for naming and specs, there is no defined industry standards for PRO versions. In short a pro version need not be significantly better than the standard one.minor upgrades is all thats needed. The doubled ram and rom is more than enough to justify the pro name . Your claims would have hold water if jumia/infinix named it ihot note 2,which supposedly denotes a different phone.

in my opinion, the pro deserves its name .
the specs you listed would be more appropriate for the ihot note 2 .
APPLE phones are mostly minor upgrades over its predecessor yet everyone accepts its an entirely new phone,yet you find it hard to accept doubled ram and rom as a pro version.
I CALL THAT DOUBLE STANDARDS .

Anyway, i'll need you to help me procure something ,sometimes in the future.

Still testing this beast.. So far so good. Antutu benchmarks wasn't impressive at all. But still not a deal breaker for me. Phone is nice and smooth. MTN by the way gave 250mb instead of 2000mb..
