I am thinking they would have concluded before starting the one they started last weekend.

Maybe there would be a sort of training , that's why they want to complete the whole thing, and then train all those successful.

The personal banker is a relationship management role but he's not expected to go out. he stays in the bank and manage relationships while coordinating DSA activities. he does inquiries, manages loan affairs, fixed deposits and all for his customers . he just does inquiries and a little more for his customers. So he's just a little higher than the enquiries officer.

That's the most appropriate thing to do. I think coys in Naija has a way of sending negative signals to "would be staff". There is nothing wrong in telling prospective employees that the process is taking time for "soso and so" reasons but they will surely be contacted when necessary. No such mail has been sent to me and some other persons here. I understand some got the mail though. Ve tried to find who to ask questions but 2 no avail. Thanks 2 18wheller who has been helpful here. Stanbic hasn't been fair to us. Same with other establishments. They contact you wen they want to. Thank Goodness some of us r working. Otherwise we go dey wait for stanbic and our mates go marry, born finish we still dey wait for exco chat.

Much as I agree with you that we can't determine the pace of our recruitment, it's also not good enough to keep prospective candidates waiting for too long without any response watsoever. If Naija were to be a competitive country, why would somebody queue for a job process that would take this long without a word from the recruiter?

Guys I told u people,no vacancies for now,when there are vacancies,we would be called upon for medically and ofer letter accordingly. What I don't understand is why conduct assessment and interviews when u don't have vacancies. It's just funny!!!

I beg to disagree... They won't call for test if no vacancies exist. The branch here needs a business banker badllyyy. Probably they want to kinda merge or conclude the process and train @ once as someone suggested before.

It is true HR teams in Nigeria need some serious upgrade in terms of communication. However, I would say I and some other people being considered for the WHO State / Field Officer role were contacted over a week ago to inform us the recruitment process is still ongoing, that we'll be contacted soon. We've all had the exco chat, so I believe it's the medical phase next.

From a reliable source, the delay is caused by some management decisions to be made and I don't think it is appropriate to communicate that with prospective employees. Nevertheless, there should be some update for candidates while they are waiting.

As you will have noticed, Stanbic has begun inviting new batches of candidates for assessment, while the same process is also underway for Graduate Trainees.

It's highly unlikely they'll embark on these if there are no vacancies.

I learned from an old Stanbic Recruitment thread that after interview/chat, ex-bankers seeking to join the bank are subjected to some sort of "checks" with CBN- to find out if the prospective hires have clean records with their previous employers.

This CBN clearance process I understand takes a few weeks (4-6) to be consummated.

So, for hopefuls who're ex-bankers, CBN approval may be responsible for this delay.
I believe once this is achieved, medical invites will follow.

yes, I believe... I don't think invites have started rolling in for the Graduate Trainee, they are still trying to finish up with the other roles that were advertised before the Graduate Trainee

What you have said is absolutely true. The CBN clearance used to be after medicals but due to its lengthy duration, now as soon as a candidate passes the test their details are sent to CBN while other recruitment procedures are on going to reduce the time spent waiting.

4 months is a pretty long time!!!

Anyways... Those that wrote their test over the weekend should please be kind to inform the house when Stanbic reaches them for test results. They said the successful guys will be communicated with 5 working days!

Just one but they told me I was suppose to go through more than one stage of interview but at the time they said that will be the only interview...An Exco was present at the interview though...
