I need a little enlightenment here. At what stage does the president inaugurate a house, is it before or after the elections of the officials? if the senators are 108 members, how did 59 elect who the senate president will be? because my calculation tells me that 2/3 of 108 is 72 and that is the minimum number required to form a quorum?? Enlightenment is what I requested for. |

Mr OP, stop displaying ur ignorance. Quorum for the senate in the 99 constitution says 1/3...one-third. Which is 36! 57 electing the SP is valid! 1 Like |

As for the proclamation issue, it seems, from what I read on other news sites, that President Buhari actually sent the proclamation letter. It was read by the clerk of the NA before the election. So both the inauguration and the election are valid in the eyes of the law. PDP played a fast one on APC. 2 Likes |

The "election" took place without the legal proclamation of the Senate by President Buhari. 1 Like |
