agaugust: LinkZA is intergrated into platforms across air, land and Sea From infantry radios, to artillery gun guidance, to MBT's, to Hawks to Gripen to Valour class - all intergrated onto one single system Nigeria has no such data-link All you have is a number of individual data-link enabled assets - no system 2 Likes 1 Share |

Patchesagain: Nigeria has an extensive operational data link structure. The largest in SSA. The man in the field - assets in the air - assets at sea - GCS- COBR Facility, all data linked and operational. South-Africa is at-least 66 years behind Nigeria in the ISTAR and Data link field. 4 Likes |

Patchesagain: The Americans and British couldn't find them either. NAF is equal to NATO in ISTAR. South African Gripens are known to have only targeting pods for bombing.... # SHOW US SAAF GRIPEN JET RECCE PODS FOR ISTAR ....or else you have no ISTAR capable Gripen, it becomes like F-7 jet using normal radar in ground search mode ! |

jln115: I was quoting normal shells that exist in Africa, I was quoting ranges 8 km to 20 km, then you jumped to 120 km with your own quote, but you did not know you were completely off track by bringing in a wrong comparison of a guided shell, I had to educate you....say thank you....ingrate. The original argument was NOT guns, it was Umkhonto missile range, but your sull brain derailed the argument into guns....fool . |

Patchesagain: Nope, SANDF officer Andrewza told us here that the datalink is being done in phases due to financial constraints. Show us proof that every aircraft, helicopter, ship, vehicle in SANDF has been connected and integrated into a central datalink system. Not just that they said it in a plan, show us that EVERY existing platform is fully integrated, show us proof now ! . |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 7:14pm On Jun 09, 2015 |
jln115: That's still not a normal shell, that's a rocket assisted unguided shell. Nobody in Africa has Volcano series of shells. No African navy has rocket shells. The original argument is about Umkhonto missiles sales and range, if you want to talk about guns and shells that nobody has in Africa, I will not follow you to dreamland. Learn to debate on topic and argue within context, Olodo . |

But a presidential spokesman told the BBC that the Nigerian army was by its own assessment "ill-equipped and poorly trained, and even lacks the commitment and the will to fight". jln115: In the context of a normal shell that we were discussing, yes. No naval gun fires 120 km, common sense should have told you that while I was quoting 8 km to 20 km, your own 120 km must be a different kind of weapon....a PGM you fool, are we talking about PGM launched from guns? No ! That extra range is NOT powered by the naval gun, it's powered by separate rockets inside the shell PGM itself you fool ! . |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 1:25am On Jun 10, 2015 |
jln115: The argument was originally about guided shells, that's why I was quoting 8 km to 20 km range. Who told you I don't know Volcano shell until you mentioned it? Who? On this forum in over one year ago early 2014, Patches, Drag_On and myself had argument of NNS Aradu Vs Valour frigate, the Vulcano shells ranges were fully posted and discussed here, we dropped the idea when we all agreed that NO NAVY IN AFRICA has guided shells. You were not on Nairaland then, you just came ! Go see analysis of Volcano shell in this threads archives. You are the newcomer that is getting free education here. Then the original argument was about Umkhonto missiles for which you quoted 60 km ranger which NO NAVY has ! I corrected you that it is 15 km for umkhonto missile, you never said thank you, ingrate. You derailed the missile debate and turned it into a gun argument of confusion that you created. You keep posting things that are inside laboratory under experiments and you want me to accept it as facts? If you go to an international public debate and you argue off topic, the microphone will be removed from you so that you will not mislead the whole world with your classic buffoonery. You will be a good barber with your own hair salon business, I don't see a good accountant in you, try a trade like barbing . |
