You are wrong. It depends on who comes out for presidency in 2019 from the north Buhari, Atiku or saraki. Tinubu is not even in control of the entire south west. The SE and SS can align forces with either Buhari, Atiku or Saraki to nullify Tinubu’s influence.

I'm still amazed at how everybody is forming their own theory and yet most people on this site have low political knowledge. Everybody is shouting Tinubu this, Tinubu that! Since when did Nigeria's future revolve around one man? Until we hear from the man himself, I would advice all to keep their speculations to themselves! People think Tinubu, Saraki or Atiku are masterminds but the true Mastermind is Buhari, you people won't get it until everything falls into place, those who called him dullard will come back and sing his praise soon. A lot of blame lies with Tinubu himself. He shouldn't have meddled into the politics of choosing the leaders of the National Assembly. He should have simply allowed the Senators and Reps members choose their leader. By supporting certain candidates which came across to the Northern faction of the APC as an attempt to impose his will on the party, he basically gave room for the embarrassment he and the APC recieved yesterday.

He should have been neutral. None of those who lost yesterday blames President Buhari for his failure and none of those who were elected credits Buhari for his victory because he stayed neutral, despite claims that he preferred Ahmed Lawan to Saraki.

Tinubu pushed things too far. His moves didn't come as genuine to the Northern chieftains in the APC such as Atiku and Kwankwaso. Hence their support for Saraki; even going as far as supporting a PDP senator for deputy senate president.

Tinubu needs to take it easy and watch how he imposes candidates on the APC.

I understand you perfectly and you are right but much as been made by some people here about Northerners hijacking the structure from Tinubu. What i am pointing out is that people that are/were in the so called Tinubu cut across NW,NC,SW and NE. The PDP hijacked it and not really Norhterners as some people with divisive tendencies on this forum will say. PDP won some seats in Ogun,Oyo,Lagos,Ondo and Ekiti and these reps are supportive of Saraki/Dogara. I hate divisive statements. What happened was purely politics.

The race has just begun. Tinubu is a political strategist both locally and nation-wide. Buhari's victory is a product of his political skill. Saraki and Atiku have always been political rebels. Atiku was getting back at Tinubu for loosing the APC ticket to Buhari. To me, in all of these dramas, I have a feeling that Nigeria will benefit, democracy will triumph above those individual's interests.
