Mr. Jonathan, yes you can buy some units of first bank shares with two thousand naira, but the point I'm making is that, two thousand naira is just too small for the purpose of investing In stocks.

Use the money to buy a book or two to build knowledge in equity trading while you save up till you have something considerable enough to plough in the market.

Hahaha

Probably just a couple of thousands of Naira. Imagine trying to jijo with some 250k units of oando.
OANDO is not a daily jijo stock as there is no trend with it. I've not checked if it has a weekly or monthly trend though.

To know the amt u can stake in a stock in jijo, u have to observe d volume DT trades in a day.
That was why I jijoed vono with small amt. If am to jijo eterna at anytime, it will be with small amt, cos I know d volume. But with stocks DT trade heavy volumes, u can jijo with more money. U must not put ur sale trade once. U can break it down to many trades at diff prices . just study d stock u want to jijo b4 u enter. Observe d trend b4 u enter. If you don't see any trend, don't think of jijoing grin the stock.

@thorland, u can spread ur money to abt 3 stocks if ur money is huge. And don't jijo with all the money u have in ur portfolio. U can carve out some amt for jijo things. U can be making like 10k, 20k to 50k daily with God is on ur side while trading with 1m.
Did I see some ppl faint? Hahahah.

That's quite a strategy you've got there miss. I envy your ingenuity. My strategy has always been to buy fundamentally sound stocks with the hope of gaining between 40-60% ROI (including dividend) within a 12 months range. So when I buy a stock, I go in heavy. It's less risky and more definitive for me.

The best stock to JIJO in a bear market are blue chip stocks trading far below their value.........But you must be patient before buying,I mean wait till they reach their low before jumping in and the advantage is that you can sell them easily..........Dont put your fund,no matter how small or big in any speculative stock unless you can afford to loose that money...............Speaking from experience............

NIGERIA | OIL&GAS | OANDO ENERGY RESOURCES

Unwarranted discount

· Our examination of peer group valuations and our revised NAV valuation shows that there is potential upside in this stock. Our core NAV indicates a value of C$1.60/s or 18% upside, which rises to C$2.88/s including 2C resources based on RENAV. The market appears to be factoring in a significant discount which we believe is based on a under-estimation of the company’s ability to pay down its existing debt obligations and is also related to the company’s limited freefloat. Having reviewed the cash flow position of the company, we believe the cash position ‘although tight’ is manageable, provided capex and cost discipline are maintained from now on. The company has previously communicated its intention to increase the freefloat and liquidity in the stock. We see this event as a potential catalyst for the stock.
· Our peer valuation analysis suggests Oando Energy (OER) is trading at one of the lowest valuations relative to its peers, despite having the largest 2P reserves base, and highest production base amongst indigenous Nigerian players. Value is clearly apparent here therefore.

· In 1Q 2015, OER hedged 9,958bpd between $65/bbl and $85/bbl until July 2017 and January 2019, respectively, with further upside available under certain oil prices. The hedges represented 49% of production. In February 2015, OER reset its previous hedges from US$95.35/bbl to US$65.00/bbl on 10,615bpd for 18 months, and another 1,553bpd until January 2019 and received US$226.2m in net cash. Overall these hedges have provided OER with the ability to pay down existing debt than before as well as provide protection from falling oil prices.

We have increased our target price on OER from C$1.68/s to C$2.88/s based on our NAV analysis and maintain our Buy recommendation.

( this information is from CSLService@fcmb.com). As for me what the Oando faithful needed mostly now is news about Q4 2014 and Q1 2015 dividend and bonus.

it is only prayer that can help you. During today NSE session, I view both the offer and bid quantity of some penny stock, in some you will see 100 million offer and zero bid. These days I consider bid quantity of any stock I want to buy, so that I can easyly jump out when ever I want.

I made nothing less than 25% from vono, though I didn't put so much money in it.
If you are new in jijo ministry international, u make some mistakes. That's why am asking d newbies DT were trapped to pm me for exit strategy.

I've been making abt 2% min gain on daily basis from this jijo ministry of late. Thanks to some bnsitl in this forum DT opened my eyes to it.

In the ministry, u don't get emotional. The only time I was trapped was when I got emotional in a stock. I knew d stock was abt to retrace and warned bnsitl abt boarding BT I didn't jump out because I didn't know d mm would give up so easily.

I am getting some experience and get better as I trade.

In jijo, when u see any sideways trading or retracement after days of succesive gain, u jump out immediately. This is for short time jijo. But for daily jijo, u already know d price u want to jijo and the u want to exit.

hello sidl, i want to jijo but i dont have what it takes what can i do?

This is why I tagged oando as #jokeoftheyear.

Always underperforming when you expect it to perform and performing when you least expect it. I know of a friend that took a bank loan to buy close to a million units of oando last year to increase his previous stake. He expected the price to fly above N100 after the elctions, especially if apc wins..Now he is running up and down like a fugitive.

Until investor/traders learn to remove sentiments from the market, you will always end up being the pig who gets slaughtered at the end.

PS: I have units in oando
why do you have units in oando and it's going down? why not sell? or are you not among the jijo people?.

Is their Buy recommendation for OER on the Toronto Exchange or Oando on NSE? I'm guessing it's the former. And usually, an uptrend movement of the former don't always lead to same for the latter.
