What's up maa? Any new development on your search??
In the last one week, I have contacted three professors and they all told me they have no space. I am fast running out of options and only have one week to go. I am so depressed, I feel like my dreams are just crashing right in front of me.

sholay2011:

It depends.

Why not mail your department to see the policy as regards potential supervisors?

I had already gotten admission and came here to find out the supervisor stuff and quickly mailed my potential lecturers that I would like them to be my supervisor etc etc.

The reply was that my department (in Uni of Manitoba) doesn't advise students to attach themselves to any particular lecturer until they've resumed and got to know these lecturers well and the research interests.

My point? Mail the Graduate Chair in your department or any of the lecturers to clarify.
Thanks alot for your response

51 weeks!
But apparently it doesn't apply, as people have gotten their TRV between 6-8 weeks and some even under 4 weeks or a week (if you-re super lucky or a witch).
You still have time for september start date, an upfront medicals would be good though.

Not at all. I got mine in less than 4 weeks and if I am to count from the day I did biometrics, I will say I got it in 3 weeks.

Someone in the previous part of this thread got medical call in 1 week!

Nothing is impossible with God bro, just believe!
