* What game you're trying to play and what performance settings in the game

I have not been able to update my Dell Laptop for long now.

I am always getting error whenever i try to download updates even with strong internet connection.

Just post any problems you are having with your pc here. The more software related, the better.

If you're having virus, worms or any other malware problems. Try scanning your PC with RoboSAM first.

Okay, thats a start. Off the top of my head, I'll say have at least 8GB RAM. You still have mentioned what graphics card you're running on that computer.

So, some things to try

* While your game is running, start the task manager and see how much of your computer's resources are in use. Run the task manager by right-clicking on the windows taskbar and selecting "Task Manager". You want to see if your RAM is all used up especially by the games or by background processes. E.g. Antivirus, Chat clients, Running Browsers, Taskbars e.t.c. You might need to close running tasks or reduce your start-up items.

* Increase your system swap space. Change the settings from advanced in your computer properties. I typically like to change from dynamically assigned to about twice the amount of RAM I have on the computer.

* Defragment your hard drive(s). This should help your computer access files faster.

Try using it on a different laptop and see if it will work fine if not scan your system with an uptodate antivirus to scan for virus ... Pls get back to us

Gurus in the house make una help ooo,I just got and hp lappy which was initialling running window 7 home premium,so I wanted to upgrade it to ultimate ,after which half the installation when it restart ,an error message come saying,window cannot complete installation on this hard ware ,so I restart d windows 7 cd with d sytem and formated d hard disc and the partition,so showing me the same thing,now I don't have os and I cannot install new one,gurus help me oo, my lappy is hp pavilion dm4 beat edition 6gb and 640 harf drive

you search from it via windows update or open my computer,right click on c:,click properties,hardware,device manager den right click on video adapter and select search automatically for updates...
note: internet connection is needed..or u buy a drivers pack CD and install from there
