At last my interview was today 10am..got at the embassy 9.00am.After all the queues and appointment and DS 160 form,fingerprint and the rest..finally cubicle visa officer face off begins.
One particular bony visa officer with eye glasses can't remember the cubicle number was busy denying almost everybody both old couples and young..not smiling and didn't last 1minute and blue paper appears.but about 6 visa offcers were dishing out visa like pure water and we all prayed not to fall on the wicked lady.
Lo and behold I was pushed to the wicked lady..

Me:gave her my two passports with old and new
VO:where are you going in the US
Me:New York city
VO:for what purpose
Me:To attend an NGO summit which I am a member

Me:Yes
VO:And the last was Nov and Dec last year in Germany,Amsterdam and Paris

Me;I am Accountant with so so oil and gas coy

Not upto 2mins..note..I have been to nearly 13 countries half on Vacation with my wife,some on work duty and others on NGO conferences in different countries..worked with my present coy for 9yrs.however a new member in my local chapter I took along so to have a feel of what the NGO is all about globally,single,never traveled before was given visa by the lady in cubicle 2.and the boy was surprised on first trial and with no travel history,salary below N100k and new member got.he was bitter I won't be going with him anymore.
So in all I was denied.

@lovesavvi....pls what problem did u encounter @ d embassy, because am also facing problem fixing my ds-160 confirmation number in my appointment profile and have mailed and called the embassy but the lady who spoke to me said I should go for the interview but she can't guaranty that the problem will be rectified. But I don't want to take chances, dat visa fee is a lot of money to just waste, just finking if I should reschedule till the problem is rectified or I should go to d embassy....pls house advice me...my interview is tomorrow

So I don't know if you had your interview in Lagos...but I just had mine in Lagos for 9:30 slot and Guys u won't believe it..They were dashing out today like water...Only like 2 wicked cubicles were acting up...1 Old Man with glasses and 1 other one sha

gentleiphy I am just seated here and I don't know what else to say about your refusal because sorry will not solve it, I feel so bad that I want to go and knock that woman's head, I don't get why she should think you will run away in the U.S because it is heaven abi? My only advice is for you to reapply immediately if you can, maybe they just want you to pay visa fees again so as to help their fund raising business. Yeye people

Thanks Chloe7..I understand how you feel about it cos even my self I was surprised when the blue paper came out and I was like..for real?..the truth is that today they dashed visas no be small except those two..they were not giving at all and I happen to be their mugu but I won't dash dem any money again until I reach Canada and apply from there..and that na 10yrs visa sure banker.
