Is Democracy Really Working For Nigerians? by skyps(m): 6:36pm On Jun 15, 2015
Considering what our experiences has been in the past sixteen years and what we are experiencing at present in this country, can we really say democracy is working for us as a country? If we had not adapted democracy do you think we would find ourselves in this situation of insecurity, impunity, legal and illegal looting, division, poverty etc. Since the middle of last year upto this moment nothing meaningful has been achieved in this country all in the name of democracy and election and this we continue to happen every four, four years. Just after the elections we are already seeing realignment of various group for 2019 and only God knows the amount of weapons that comes into this country during elections. This is the reason I am asking if this almighty democracy is really working for us as nigerians

raayah:
Democracy is working because we are a free nation. We have freedom of speech and we are allowed to travel and move.

Nigerian main problem is corruption.

How exactly has this freedom impacted in our life?

What do you mean by 'like I was born yesterday'? Isn't obvious that this democracy has caused more doom than good?
