@teesboy, I only sent my transcript to sait and no other schools.. Is there any effect to this? |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Crich(f): 12:48pm On Jun 20, 2015 |
Krix25: What they are saying is that u shouldnt put all ur eggs in one basket. SAIT is difficult to get so have a plan B which means u should apply to other schools NOW so u don't wait forever for SAIT's admission. If u are applying to other schools, u have to submit all required documents (trancripts, resume, reference, etc). I guess this is what the other guys were saying. |

Krix25:SAIT admission is not for the faint hearted ooo. The shakara no be small ooo becos the demand pass supply some peeps even apply more than a year for some programs just to increase their chances of getting admitted and it has been well documented on this forum. Start applying to other schools now so you don't wait endlessly for SAIT and if you do not meet up with Sep 2015 then start planning for Jan 2016 and this time apply to a minimum of 3 schools with non-competitive admissions to avoid this waitlist saga. All the best. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by teesboy: 1:34pm On Jun 20, 2015 |
julius99:there is no CIC law that says a 45 year-old cannot study in Canada. So long as your uncle has his admissions letter and submits suporting documentation/evidence required for a study permit to be processed, his application will be treated based on it's merit and not his age. 3 Likes |

julius99:Age is not a barrier neither is it a criterion for admission. So far as he meets the academic requirements of study and can demonstrate it, he is good to go. 2 Likes |

Krix25: You would be issued a work permit at the POE That's if you hold a study permit |

@morgan. U don't have to explain the new PGD or even make reference to ur last application in ur SOP. U have a new acceptance letter from a diff school just start from there. I think the main tin is try n write a more convincing sop. Also if u r submitting employment letter n payslips then a salary account or personal account showing your income must be submitted too. cos most of these vo don't believe in collecting salary by hand n even if r u pay dat way then give urself 4-5months n tell your company to start paying into ur account no matter how little d money be4 u can reapply. It's even better to take dat long for reapplication wen u r delay on those 4 reasons. 1 Like |

Krix25:Try and apply to siast or bcit too. They are also both respected technological institute in western Canada just like Nait and Sait.. The waitlist on the Nait/Sait may open up a week after resumption, everyone wants to live in big cities..lol. I would suggest siast since most of their programs have paid co-op terms which would give you the highly respected Canadian work experience and depending on your program, 6.5 hours drive from Calgary is not bad. |

lucky032: Depends on the type of hotel reservation. If you want to pay, use www.amoma.com www.hotels.com and make sure you schedule the ones that has 100% refund. Try read the t&c very well before putting your card details. If it's for the sake of hotel booking, then use hrs.com or accorhotels.com and select any hotel without you putting your card. ~ Sheyi 1 Like |

[quote author=morgan2006 post=34957227] Hello everyone, Pls I seek your opinion on this mind bugging issue. I was delayed earlier this month for 4 reasons: -Purpose of Visit (you are going for a diploma and you have a B.sc.You have to convince them this makes sense in your SOP,i.e why a diploma and not a masters or pgd.You will need to mention some specific courses you will do in your new PGD that was not present in the previous diploma and also the length of program.) -Travel History (Not an issue if all is ok) -Home ties (Did you submit a study leave from work, you married, have properties?) -Personal asset (You being sponsored? How much is available for the program?) 1 Like |
