kingmapping84: Come and apply from Nigeria Sir From the responses we have been getting from applicants who apply for study Visas outside Nigeria, they have been denied In fact the last person was denied within 3 days |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Nobody: 12:34pm On Jun 21, 2015 |
brandymcmb: The 3 days may have been because of the processing time in his country of application. A friend of mine applied from South Africa last month and has gotten his passport request. However, it is in our friend's best interest to return to Nigeria to apply. |

brandymcmb:... Ur status in any country determines ur eligibility to apply from there... that does not determine denial or approval... If u have all it takes to apply both financially and supporting docs... go ahead... 3 Likes |

Siga: Our Oracle has spoken!!! yea it's the status of the applicant in the host country that determines the decision But it is advised to return to Nigeria to apply |

omooba2015: What school is this? You can always register for courses online before even leaving Nigeria. |

Preciousstones: Sorry to cut in. You asked a question, someone else knew the answer and gave it to you. Less than 2.1 CGPA is the reason people apply for college, n perhaps the duration too. The person u directed the question to, might still give u an answer later but I don't think it's wrong for someone else to help. We are here to help one another. You guys should calm down. 8 Likes |

@kingmapping84 Or better still do a solid research on the requirements, criteria and documents needed for a Canadian study permit in the country you are located to see your eligibility, if you are then please go ahead and apply from there |

brandymcmb:@kingmapping84, brandymcmb is ryt...someone was denied not quite long (Anthochie to be precise)....my advice to you is to read back on this thread (part 8, page 45)....read his post and note down the reasons why he was delayed. lf you are sure to by pass those reasons and you can tackle them, there wn't be a need to worry but that's hard for real...u'd b much calm doing it from your own country(naija). Wish you good luck. 1 Like |

Siga:Oga Siga...much respect sir....you are right to some certain extent...U r eligible to apply ...yes...but with a students visa...it is more than difficult to prove Ur ties to that country of residence....U r just a student there...U have no investments...no wife and kids there..no landed property...and u will be evaluated based on that country especially if u havnt been home in more than two years....if u read my post u will see that I practically supplied everything ...so I was amazed when after three days I was denied. I got an influential immigration lawyer via a professor here at my university and they contacted the embassy...the lawyer was told that my application was extremely detailed but I had no ties to Ukraine...I had not travelled to Nigeria in a while...so Ukraine was used as the country of assessment...I had nothing here...so I was refused...they even ticked purpose of visit...when I studied computer science ...and was going for msc in the same comp science...just cos they weren't sure I've been advised to go home and apply if I want to stand a chance... So my point is ..U r eligible to apply..yes...but chances r slim if u hold a study permit.... |

anthochie:... Its rather unfortunate u were denied.... I see ur angle... but someone on this forum applied from Turkey and got it.... going to Naija to apply is not a guarantee... But it can show u at least returned to naija after studying in Ukraine and may return after studying in Canada.... I believe GboyegaD applied from Yankee sef... not sure... hope he can confirm... |

invincible2006:... Exactly... Visa apps is Case by case... and the VO... those guys can do as they please ... the most qualified candidate can be denied while the least approved... Na here we dey ... when dem deny person... and he replied with same documents but wrote a supporting letter challenging the refusal and was given... I remember a lady here...who applied and waited but got frustrated...withdrew her paper app and applied online and was given... cant remember her moniker... |

Please like how long is the estimated time to get a response for online application. How long must you wait before you get worried. A friend said 6 weeks or so? Do we have people more than 6 weeks in the house? I need the info urgently. |

wayaa007:....If your school provides free temporary accommodation for few days, then you can secure a place you want within 1-2 days.....alternative is to book an hotel or a motel for 2 days($50 - $80/night), then scout for accommodation...Except you have someone on ground to check for you...Its not that hard.... |

CruzA I never asked a general question. And that was not the answer I wanted.sometimes you guys on this canada thread should take this easy.instead of jumping into people mentions. I saw how hifax was worried and I wanted to talk to him and advice him.but unfortunately you guys spoilt it. I see how you guys thread treat some issues and fight yourselves.someone will ask a complex question none of you can answer all of you will just ignore and easily distracted with silly stuff. That's why there is a high increase in delay.you guys should change.the most aggressive and childish is canada thread all the best.and please nobody should mention me or send me email from this thread again And the funny thing is hayqinsbFX has not responded.some peeps are giving themselves headache.please ehn just chill |

@waleakins its not too late to submit @the said time but remember, the earlier the better. Concerning your Waec its not compulsory but necessary just to show your academic history. 1 Like |

Siga: I remember her too(she was goin to her Spouse's Graduation), but that was back in part 3(circa 2011). It is our belief that these guys have put up more stringent reasons for delays now, so it is usually best to fill up any loophole that may appear in our application. For instance in my case, I applied with @Earthgreneer's package yet got refused, with the flimsiest of reasons when back then, I most likely would have gotten approval. Not saying he cant get it from wherever he is, but we have some overzealous VOs who wouldn't even review your case before concluding your main objective is to immigrate. |
