This is an addendum and equally a response emanating from this thread https://www.nairaland.com/2409187/saraki-vs-tinubu-comparism-why

DISCLAIMER

It is usually not in my everyday nature to appear dissident to my easy going and agreeable persona.
I have decided to do the opposite of my ordinary personality pattern, to check in with myself to find my own truth and to find the courage to express my opinion even if it means disagreeing with almost everyone.
.
.
.

It is a sad pity that whenever Barcanista says stuff that sounds good to the ears of APC folks on here, he is "objective" and "should stop playing partisan politics, so he can have a wider reach"
But when he does the complete opposite, even when it is apparent he speaks the truth and fact, he is met with open condemnation, and more or less, incorrigible counter attacks
You lost an asset in Barcanista.
#Fact

I remember clearly that it was a seemingly objective thread like this that he opened and you all came calling for his head.
Even when he clearly didn't mean to defect, your accusations, counter accusations and vituperations led the young man, unwittingly to adopt PDP.
And thankfully, the PDP e-constituency on Nairaland is better for it.

Take a look at that thread, 7 pages and counting, how many of our people do you see lampooning him like the APC did?
It is called tolerance and giving your own the benefit of a doubt! even though it looked as if he was gradually warming his way back into the APC.

What some of us did was to contact him privately to know exactly what he is up to.

For Your Information, this is Barcanista's stand as of today 28th June, 2015.
@Barcanista, if I have forged any of what I am about to write below, please feel free to refute it.
Thank You.

Are You Thinking Of Porting Back To APC?

No, It hasn't come to that.

You sound like it might likely come to that. Lol

Don't get me wrong like APC did, I am not the typical conservative, I am a reformist. I am not the type that endures the status quo when it does appear like it isn't the right path.

That's an admirable trait.

Sometimes, I look beyond politics too.
For instance, I believe that people like Saraki should be punished. Now I will always support any move that seeks to punish him so as to serve as a deterrent to would be traitors.

The PDP should be careful with giving Saraki a lifeline so as not to send the wrong signal to others that treachery comes with its positive reward. Giving Saraki a lifeline will be a loss to PDP.

Lol

Yes, I don't believe in rewarding treachery. I believe in using and dumping traitors. Already PDP has used him to gain control of Senate. Time to dump him.

I support you on that. You are making sense. Honestly APC lost an asset in you.

And what did his defection achieve for PDP and its sympathizers here? Didn't they lose woefully at the polls?

NL is fun to be indeed!

And what asset is in him that is very inconsistent on issues?.

I am not talking about being consistent about supporting a party when it's silly to do so. I am talking about being consistent with same issues all the time and every time.

What good can come out of someone who says GEJ was epitome of corruption, giving facts and figures; only to start telling us that the chsnge Nigeria needed can be achieved within the same PDP with GEJ as the president?

The guy is no different from a typical Nigerian politician - anywhere his bread can be buttered is where he pitches his tent.

Oga no be fight na. Politics is a continuum. It will surely exceed March 28 poll beside the op only penned her thought which I think isn't a bad idea anyway.

Truth is that I am yet to confront barca on the said thread...because inasmuch as I feel he should not open such threads which pander him to APC, but still I cannot deny him his inalienable right to self expression and also freedom to voice his opinion as he deems fit...

I decided that anytime such threads are opened by him, I would rather ignore them and move on, than drop even as much as a comma on it...I have done this to his last two threads...I am in opposition and should not be seen advising or helping the ruling party to adjust their ideas and folds...There mistake and failure is my gain...that's politics...politics isn't about morality but constitutionality...

But in all, PDP family is by far more tolerant and brotherly than APC conglomerate of strange fellows...

Bro.
I don't know about others.
But for me, I have been schooled a great deal on matters of politics, the polity and National issues.

He spearheaded the campaign for Saraki's emergence.

Prior to his detailed analysis on what the PDP stood to gain, I was indifferent.
I didn't even read about such in the dailies or from anyone on here.
That was an original from him.

Today, the PDP is not the ruling party, but boasts of producing the Deputy Senate president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. A feat many of us thought inconceivable and impossible.

I needn't say more.
Sometimes I hate to admit it, but Barca isn't just an Opinion Leader, He is also a Thought Leader.

Funny enough the emboldened is based on your own interpretation. My position on APC/PDP is what is manifesting today. To the best of my knowledge I have been consistent in my position on issues except when my position was modified due to new information that I wasn't initially privy to.

Your opinion of his "prowess" is perhaps because you're politically naive. What happened with Saraki could have happened with anyone not annointed by APC given the fact that PDP had vowed to do a "Tambuwal" to APC as they did to them. And PDP getting the DSP was just as a result of APC senators not present on the day of inauguration. Though they could also have gotten it based on an alleged pact with Saraki but would surely have been tougher had apc senators been around.

The emboldened and reddened is what inspired my open support for PDP.
Nairaland PDP folks influenced my decision, not the mainstream.

This is a clear example of a man who is not happy with his brother's actions lately, but yet stands up for him and will not join others to stamp him in the mud.

Political Affiliations for me goes beyond interests.
It's about festering/fostering the spirit Brotherhood and Statesmanship.
