I am happy for this thread by Mizmycoli...because it has given barcanista opportunity to see the heart of his brethren about some write ups...

That's just all!

Sure boss...there's no need for such "patriotic" threads so far you know your stance on issues...You can correct them when you have gained from their loss and moved on...Your correction and advice to them would now be an afterthought (and a sort of mocking their naivety like Metuh did in that press release after NASS election)...

My brother, you need to re-evaluate your "brand of politics".

There's no such thing as a "reformist" in politics. Either you're putting on a white hat or black hat.

In fact, you "advice" only if you'd benefit in the end.

Exactly!

The game as it is structured now, buhari would not have blinked if bokoharam attacked daura if that would guarantee more than 100% votes.

Lamentation according to "Cleverly"

You always lead an onslaught on perceived proponents of Tinubu's Political Empires

I will always be here to help you emancipate yourself from mental and servitude slavery.

**I was tempted to use your original name but my "integrity and class" constraints me.

A defector has clearly indicated not interested in your party anymore. A traitor says he is still with you while engaging in treachery. Not same.

Now I understand. Wheeeew

Stop handing your opponents a lifeline.

I was primarily an APC apostle because I desired a credible alternative but I latter found out that the primary target of forming the party was dethroning President Jonathan and everything he represented even without minding the atrocities of PDP's key players during the so-called 11 - 13 years bastardized government.

I then withdrew my sword pointed at PDP for Jonathan's sake and desired to provide a balance by defending false allegations concocted with ulterior motive to bring down his government.

I am happy I put up visionary analyses and down-to-earth predictions except the betrayal of Northern PDP thwarts that led to the defeat of Jonathan's second term ambition.

You were one of my antagonists during my onslaught on Buhari's lack of "democratic governance" credentials and his outdated 21st century's acumen to effect the desired change APC preaches.

I am ready to provide you with supportive credentials and backup to continue putting the ruling party on hot seat and repositioning PDP to regain lost credibility.

But to think of it, APC is now the ruling opposition party in Nigeria. An entire new development in political science and our polity.

Remember, you can no longer jump ship.

Thanks for the mention, my lady.

Yes. I saw the thread. It was an innocent thread, designed to put some things as far as Tinubu and Saraki are concerned into a perspective.

Truth is, we all experience a situation where our desire for truth and progress for our nation overwhelms and push aside our narrow partisanship. You recall my last thread calling for support for PMB? Only you and Truckpusher clearly understood me. I was called names. I think barcanista was in that position. I may be wrong. Very wrong!

Also, I saw the smiles and vain gloating of the children of hate and hypocrisy as they grinned on a possibility of his return to their camp of brooms. For me, I learned a few things from that thread.

In summary, my brother reserves the inalienable right to air his opinion on issues he likes. He can open any thread he so desires. He may even elect to go back to the APC. It makes NO difference to me. He remains my brother, and that's unchangeable.

What's the worst that can happen?
Highest, he defects to APC.
Should that make me change my stand towards him?
Or spew thrash about him?
Or revoke my pledge of friendship?

Does getting a job as Personal Assistant on political matters to an APC Stewart equals defection?

I believe one should reap from his/her talent and calling notwithstanding political persuasion. However, he should spell out the terms of service to exclude gaging his conscience.

I know one day Barcanista will receive an offer to displace unproductive Ngeneukwenu/Cleverly but his terms and conditions should be defined to avoid selling his conscience to the devil.

This is an addendum and equally a response emanating from this thread https://www.nairaland.com/2409187/saraki-vs-tinubu-comparism-why

DISCLAIMER

It is usually not in my everyday nature to appear dissident to my easy going and agreeable persona.
I have decided to do the opposite of my ordinary personality pattern, to check in with myself to find my own truth and to find the courage to express my opinion even if it means disagreeing with almost everyone.
.
.
.

It is a sad pity that whenever Barcanista says stuff that sounds good to the ears of APC folks on here, he is "objective" and "should stop playing partisan politics, so he can have a wider reach"
But when he does the complete opposite, even when it is apparent he speaks the truth and fact, he is met with open condemnation, and more or less, incorrigible counter attacks
You lost an asset in Barcanista.
#Fact

I remember clearly that it was a seemingly objective thread like this that he opened and you all came calling for his head.
Even when he clearly didn't mean to defect, your accusations, counter accusations and vituperations led the young man, unwittingly to adopt PDP.
And thankfully, the PDP e-constituency on Nairaland is better for it.

Take a look at that thread, 7 pages and counting, how many of our people do you see lampooning him like the APC did?
It is called tolerance and giving your own the benefit of a doubt! even though it looked as if he was gradually warming his way back into the APC.

What some of us did was to contact him privately to know exactly what he is up to.

For Your Information, this is Barcanista's stand as of today 28th June, 2015.
@Barcanista, if I have forged any of what I am about to write below, please feel free to refute it.
Thank You.

[/b]

Contrary to your assertions above, it is obvious that Barcanista's PDP e-team members are more ferocious to warrant him preparing and issuing an open apology.

Very disappointing that Nairaland Politics section has been reduced to a warfront between APC and PDP apologists.

Very few remain objective despite their preference for either of the parties. These are the true e-patriots with more meaningful impacts!

@Op, if there is something I ever admired in barcanista that has to do with his steadfastness on political issues, he is a guy willing to learn from his mistakes and quickly adjust to matters at hand. I remembered when he openly supported the candidacy of Saraki I countered him based on the antecedence of Saraki and from the little I know about him. Barcanista's worst was when he pitched his tent with the barbarians in the APC divides...thank God he is a better contributor today.

If anything, I have learned that you can't be neck deep politics and maintain an optimal level of objectivity. To do that, you ought to play surface politics.

Secondly, except you choose to tow the path of hypocrisy here......seriously, do you want to compare the wanton attacks on Barcanista by APC folks on here?
Barcanista ought to speak for himself, but the fact that he opened that thread is a testament to the fact that despite our disagreeing with his MO, we still accorded him a level of respect.

You don't openly apologize to a people who treated you like a rag and tried to bring nothing but shame to your name.

Are you succinctly predicting a re-defection?

I was once in the process of getting a job offer from an APC stalwart.
The thought of changing my song and views to suit theirs tied knots in my belly.
I even had a dream in that regard, only this time, it was the national leader, I was visibly unsettled and rejected him. It felt like i would be under a bondage.

My point is, may God never allow me change my song in order to provide for my belly, Amen.

That said, I see nothing wrong in singing a song that ultimately pays off for my belly in the long run.
