Needs Guide On How To Lodge A Formal Complaint by azeezkadiri(m): 2:02am On Jul 07, 2015 |
I feel my manager is going to do a poor review on me in the next six months. She is taking it personal for some reason and since I got employed in the Bank of Agriculture, I have been working hard to get permanented. I want to complain to the right authorities through the appropriate channel so, I need someone to please guide me. My problem started when I had clash with someone at my place of work who was directly employed because she is a relative of the former MD, I didn't report her but someone else did to the manager and right now for some vague reason the manager became hostile. 1 Like 1 Share |

Talk to your manager reasonably and be official as much as possible. If possible beg him/her and make him/her see things from your point of view. If that doesn't work, Fast and pray. That would surely will work. 2 Likes |

The OP is asking for an assistance and the two posters at the top are sounding gibberish. OP, why don't you Google it, perhaps an idea might just pop out to you? Sorry, i don't know how to help out else would have assisted. |

azeezkadiri: What exactly is permanented? If you submit reports with that kind of language, what do you expect? If you think your boss is not treating you right, find out what your company policy is on reporting to higher ups and go based on that 3 Likes |

1. Pray for favour in your place of work. 2. Be more friendly to your Manager. 3. Buy her gifts. 4. Visit her office to ask if you can help with any task. 5. Thank me later ![]() |

azeezkadiri: I have had a similar experience at my former workplace and felt trapped and helpless until i discovered email.. simply communicate important matters via email as a documentary evidence that you are doing your job, if she replies in the negative, it means she has received it and provided no guidance as to what you should be doing or what must be done as a leader. in the end when push came to shove. i simply started complaining to some top people as well as HR. eventually he was forced to openly attack me with verbal abuse and official queries. I gathered up everything and produced email evidence of what exactly transpired. I also threatened to take it public if i felt the matter was treated lightly. in the end, he realized that i was a badt guy after-all and his intentions became known. other staff resented him and some top execs he was performing eye-service for scolded him. we managed ourselves till the company went burst. ogas like yours never like to keep things official, they are verbal because they know they can conveniently deny it. so you send emails regardless of whether she replies or not, send reminders as well. she may not reply (makes it worse for her as your boss) or she may reply forcing her to validate whatever claims you have. Also try this trick.. your smartphone has a voice recorder.. keep it on when you know you will be confronting her.. ![]() ![]() 3 Likes 1 Share |

it is very very simple. your manager feels you do not respect or recognise her superiority in the command chain. You may have been taking some decisions on your own which is not right at this probation stage. That even confirms why you had a quarrel with someone in the office...you seem not to know your level. You most probably have been feeling too good for the job that you did not bother to do it the way they have been doing it, so she has decided to give you the "saraki"treatment of being "On-Your_Own". Here is my solution and it is taken from page 419 of the invisible laws of power. "from now till the date of review, act like an over dependent worker...ask her what and what she wants you to do daily, ask if she needs any help with any other thing, regularly pop in to seek her opinion on things before you do, praise her intellect and vow that her experience is very expensive...in fact, go to the extent of telling her you would need her advice on a personal issue...but you will discuss it on a particular date... ..guy, that s ur visa... ...choose a date that is one week after your confirmation... you don hammer be that" thank me later and ignore the guy who wants to take u to "baba labule" 11 Likes |

azeezkadiri: It is all about office politics, you gotta learn office politics. In office politics, the person who reports first most times tends to have an edge over the person reported. I, just like you, am not won't to report my colleagues at work and I let issues that sometimes happen slide and forget them but sometimes, they rush off to go report first just to get them that edge in front of the boss. I don't like reporting but it is something I am re-considering to do because playing the middle man in the office isn't very safe and an easy way to get booted out of the office in no time. You have to learn to get close to key people in the company, get them to your side, people who have a strong base in the company to have your back anytime any day. Some people call it 'kissing a$$', and some people are very good at this. No matter how good you try to be at your office, you can never get along with everyone. Some people are definitely going to have issues with you for different reasons, even personal. The best people you want to be in good relationship with in your office are your boss, supervisor and those in high command etc. To provide with suggestions, what exactly was the clash about? How did it start? |

CriticalThought: Diplomacy not Official Conduct is what is required. Do you know if she has allies up there? what you can do is be official about your conduct and gather enough negative perception of her conduct, it is not what is official that will resolve your problem, it is how much dirt you have on her and your ability to propagate or project your boss character to the rest of the company - no board likes a bad leader unless he is delivering results. is she? |
