@olompa. LEt me give u my own small advice. Form d little experience i have with embassies if they tell u bring document A then NO OTHER DOCUMENT WILL SUFFICE. EVven if document B better pass or strong pass A. Esp with these germans. If u submit pictures, bank statements i can very much assure u that within one week they will call u back to come and collect all ur property. Visa rejected. If u can now prove otherwose when appealing the decision is anoda story. But im sure u want to avoid all thaf wahala.
The best advice ive seen so far is since u said family business. It doesnt have to ur nuclear family. An uncle with d same surname will get the job done. Even of no be d sane surname as long as ur surname dey among people that incoporated the company ur good to go.
If u have started with this family business route dont change it. This people no get time for explantions and story. Who wan dey read explantions say we have been running a business withoit registering it.....students this yr too plenty. They are simply looking for ways to weed out people. Pls i beg u dont write anybody any explanation. Very dangerous

I am a lawyer with deep understanding of CAC procedures. Off all the pieces of advice our beleaguered friend has been given, this one is the way to hell.

DO NOT ATTEMPT IT!!!

Listen to the guy who suggested an uncle...

I'm not the one in need of it or involved sire. Meanwhile, I don't need a lawyer to register a business name except may be incorporated. I know and familiar with the procedures too. We have different types of business registration. Do you work with CAC? Saying a way to hell is too ambiguous sir. Give your advise and leave others

Guys. don't always advice or support any dishonesty.

Just clearly explain that your parents business is not registered instead of going round the bush.

Maybe get any document you got or any proof of business and what your parent does.. financial bank statement to prove it also. It does not matter if its not registered now. You cant change it now.

If you are sincere you should get something to show for it even if its not registered. The embassy is very reasonable and this lady also I think called JE understands.

Now the only problem is if your fathers business is big enough to make you come back.. like a tie.

You strongly got to respond. no matter what.

I have visited Germany 3 times now with the latest in January.. still I was tensed at the interview.. it could happened to anyone..

However since you are not lying just make a statement and attached some files..could even be pictures..bank account.. etc..

And be positive.

Also, you probably posted here about your interview.. the embassy could be following this thread. Not a bad idea to help people but dont come here to say you are not coming back in pidgin. Its not difficult to decode.

All the best

dolpaz:

Bros,

I meant no harm. You should have concrete evidence and backup to show for this when the needs arises. You are dealing with diplomats and believe me, they are always bend on following due process. When Obiwann said something about the mum owing a school. Did you read the response from the V.O? am very sure it never occurred to you that such may be requested from you.

They want to believe every business should be registered under CAC with updated FIR/LIRS records. My brother, I won't advise you to lie most especially when it comes to important situations like this, but cautions has to be made.

Look at the tight corner you've placed yourself? Now, you need to submit a valid CAC certificate, and preceeding tax payment since you informed the V.O that your family runs a business which you will be taking over from in no time.

My advise for you is this: If you have an uncle/family member who has a registered business name and you can link the connection between each other and why such person would entrust his business with you.. Then you are good to go.

I wish you all the best bro !

Others may contribute their 2 cents cool

Please don't follow this advice...

Since you have a family business in place. My own opinion and suggestion is this;- To register a business name with CAC shouldn't cost more than 10-15k and within a week or also. But for Incorporated, it is more complicated and costly than just business name.Ask them to backdate the certificate and also be ready to do the tax clearance in other not to give them any benefit of doubt. Check out this link http://new.cac.gov.ng/ or preferably work in to any CAC office in your locality and make inquiry from them. With the way they sound at the embassy, it seems their final decision will be based this document apart from block account thing. #IMO

There os no dishonesty in submitting an incle or aunt's registration of business. Family is an ambiguous word. It could mean almost anybody. What if na him uncle dey sponsor am. And dat uncle is d one dat wants him to come back to run his business. Broda d decision is urs at d end of d day. I strongle suggest u dont follow dis route. Explaining d relationship btwn u and ur father or mothers broda is far easier dan explaoning how ur family can be running a simingly legitimate business without registering it. There is a procedure for everything. And d normal procedure is businesses should be registered. So how u wan explain dat one me no know o. We always make d mistake of thinking dis people will understand d way things are run in nigeria. They wont. All dey want to know is did u follow d wat tins should be done. I hope u make d right choice. All d best.

Learning a lot from the briefings of people's interview, i think it is best to be honest with the VO, for any thing one say in the course of the interview, u will be held responsible for it.
Be ready to back up what u say with facts or evidence.
@olompa i think the best you can do is to follow dopalz idea.

As i prepare for my interview on the 2th of this month i pray For Allah's divine favour.
Eke47, a brother and a friend, all other royal bossness on this thread, you shall always find favour

The issue I have now is dat the family business is not registered

Kindly advise on what to do

Omo see gobe grin cheesy..I don die for laff....if una go German embassy make una sofrie dey wash abeg grin...

Baba dont falsify any damn thing....if u backdate or submit a newly registered cert..mere lookin at the paper they can tell how old it is...and if u re caught tryin to submit fake docs....u will be denied abd prolly serve a ban.like ban 10yrs ban i think.

And if u tell them the family business is not registered ...baba dat na one chance too..it implies that ur so called family business has been operating under the radar and not payin Taxes...omo in GermanY Tax evasion is one of the most serious crime any one can indulge in.

Baba for this matter seek professional advise.

Moral of the story: make una dey wash small small...i go come back come work as lecturer or for company na simple and easy answer..for save us all these stress.

@Olompa, this what you have do,your sure wayout, from experience don't go for CAC,if your father or your mother has a small business write a letter to the embassy ,explain to them that your father or family business is not a registered business, that in Nigeria many small scale businesses are not registered but are legal and can access loan in a bank without business registration certificate or collateral, tell them that business in Nigeria is not mandated to be registered for it to operate, tell them that many small business in Nigeria that owners dont know much about business registration and government is not making it a criteria for tax payment, that even banks like micro finance bank dont demand for business registration before they can acess loan, that your family business is in that category, that was what led to your decision to advance your education so that you will acquire professional skills to make your family from been unregistered business to becoming world class registered liability company which can compete in international business with the competitors, tell them that after your Bsc study in Business Administration, that you chose Germany for your masters so that you will have professional experience in handling businesses, that on coming back to Nigeria after your studies that you will take your family business to a new dimensions by introducing new ideas to the business such incorporating the business as a private liability company which you hope to grow into public liability company with expertise management. Include the address of the said business, the name of product you sale, how you source for the product and profit turnaround .pictures of the goods on display in shop have to be included both inside and outside. Then go to high court and swear an affidavits ,maybe the head of your family will do this one,but you can go by your self to the court and do it,state in the affidavits the year of starting the business, the address ,name of product on sale etc, signed by the owner of the business wish will have related name eg your father or mother name,I believe with this you are good to go.
Note this option can only be used if you don't have a close family member that bears your surname that can give you the CAC and memorandum and articles of association. I was in this your problem in 2013 when embassy ask me to provide evidences of my vocational training center because I am going for a short vocational study 6months and my vocational training center is not registered, I bail myself out with concrete pictures of myself educating my student and some awards giving to me by Global fund,Gambia Government,Novo Scotia Canada international and USAID and I got the visa

Greetings bosses. Please make una dash me few cents on this. Cldnt meet up with this winter application due to some A's n B's. I'm thinking of applying for a study place at Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences(Undergrad..summer semester). Would it be possible for me to process visa if accepted for this program and then apply for a preferable course next application window while alrdy in Deutschland?? Also the course is partly english(semesters 1-4) and partly german( semesters 5-7) and the language requirement on the site only asks for ielts or toefl(no german level). So am i good to go with ielts result only even when the course would be completed in german?? Thanks in anticipation abeg.

The admission is only is only possible during summer aber nicht winter. You are good to go with just IELTS. But note, they offer only 30 places for this course.
