Henry120: From my personal experience of two countries, Nigeria is more worse than South African in terms of poverty. Almost everyone is poor in Enugu and Lagos. South Africa has various forms of poverty relieve policies which Nigeria does not have. You get free money in South Africa if you have a child and you are not employed. Elderly get grants. Those who are disabled and terminally sick get free grants in South Africa. Indeed poverty in SA is much better than the rest of Africa. I wish if Africa can learn from South Africa. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Not all countries give pension to the old aged. In South Africa every elderly aged 60 and above qualify to be granted monthly pension to take care of themselves. This is not the case anywhere in Africa where elderly get nothing from the government for their welfare. South Africa is the king. https://www.westerncape.gov.za/service/old-age-pension-old-persons-grant 1 Like 1 Share |

Raising ophans is often a difficult tusk especially where the parents left nothing behind for the education and welfare of their children. In South Africa, this does not seem to be a much of a challenging task. The foster parents will only have to apply for a forster child grant and receive every month the grants from the state for the wellbeing of orphans. Nigeria does not have anything of this nature and orphans will most likely suffer at the hands of their relatives. http://www.sassa.gov.za/index.php/social-grants/foster-child-grant |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Msauza(m): 3:14pm On Jul 08, 2015 |
Being disabled often proves very difficult living in countries that do little or nothing for the care of disabled and those who are suffering from chronic diseases. In SA, all that it is an exception, thanks to monthly disability grant. http://www.sassa.gov.za/index.php/social-grants/disability-grant |

Patchesagain: F-7 fights off Gripen with ease, the Hawks be trapped in a contested air space with missiles flying all over ! @Saengine said the Al Tariq was launched at 40 km and thats all the evidence available. South African data cannot be trusted, your country tells lies at random. Roland remains in service with Nigeria and many countries that bought at the same time, we still display them on parade, and we have posted photos of soldiers recently carrying Roland missiles into the vehicle in their regiment. No country with common sense will deploy expired missiles into an air defence regiment. You need to show us a proof of anybody's missiles being expired, or are you their maintenance officer? All mobile Rolands carry 10 missiles standard, no source ever said it's 2 missiles total, they all say 2 missiles ready and 8 in reserve magazines, the AMX-30 is a tank chassis of an MBT that carries 47 shells inside the vehicle. Foolish half witted Patches, he thinks the space for 47 tank shells cannot contain 8 small missiles....old man fool "The Roland missile is a two-stage solid propellant unit 2.4 meters long with a weight of 66.5 kg including the 6.5 kg multiple hollow-charge fragmentation warhead which contains 3.5 kg of explosive detonated by impact or proximity fuses. The 65 projectile charges have a lethal radius of 6 meters. Cruising speed is Mach 1.6. The missile is delivered in a sealed container which is also the launch tube. Each launcher carries two launch tubes with 8 more inside the vehicle or shelter with automatic reloading in 10 seconds." "Two arm-beams for launching carry each one a missile in its launching tube, and two ammunition stores for munitions each contain one 4 shot mechanism for automatic unloading of the arm-beam. The crew of the vehicle consists of three man." http://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/row/roland.htm Fool of Gauteng, 16 Rolands will launch 160 missiles in about 90 seconds rapid fire ! @Patches thought Roland has only 2 missiles.....his 50 million countrymen have never seen anything like a Roland in South Africa, he needs to travel to Lagos to see one in his life time . |

Government of Nigeria can never build you a free house if you are poor. Well, in SA we just only dance for RDP programme that helped to clear many slums around South African townships. South Africa you are a king. http://www.southafrica.info/about/social/housing-230513.htm#.VZ0wsTPRY8o |

In Nigeria no doctor can attend to you if you don't have money. In SA it is different, all clinics and public hospital offer free health care to the public. http://www.southafrica.info/about/health/health.htm#.VZ0xzTPRY8o |

In Nigeria a child will be forced to pay for school fees and sent back home with an empty stomach irrespective of her or his poor background. In Mzansi basic education is free and children are as well fed free break fast and lunch. http://www.etu.org.za/toolbox/docs/government/feeding.html 1 Like |

agaugust: 1. No an F7 will not do that - dont be ludicrous 2. South Africa does not tell lies just because the facts hurt your argument. The range Denel says it has is the range it is capable of. 3. Iraq bought their missiles at the same time as you, and when found in 2004 or so (about a decade ago) they were expired 4. How many missiles can the Roland guide in the air? Roland is obsolete junk with expired missiles, 17 Hawks alone will overwhelm your entire air defence network |
