But in reality, the visa is just the beginning of our worries. We are only better off those that couldn't cross the hurdle because we made it and able to make it to a country where struggling worthwhile.

What I want is just to remain in the US and be working there legally
Thanks

Well, then after 27 months?

Keep in mind..whether 12 months or 27 months, you still have to get that job within 90 days of graduating to remain in status. So, have to be able to balance job prospects with interest, for your choice field. Once you decide, just focus on your MS first..there are other challenges

Ok thanks my chief. The dilemma is school resumes aug 17 while interview is aug 11 very close and risky. Meanwhile i dont qualify for emergency cos i hav been denied b4. What can i do? I think i dont qualify for expedited too or do i? Pls are there agent that can help bring it forward?

Bro calm down. I thought we already had this discussion? Why the worry? Relax. Worrying doesn't solve jack. Instead, focus on your desired outcome - getting an earlier date, and be positive about it. Please not that when you worry, you subconsciously attract unpleasant experiences into your life.

I was in a similar situation like yours. I was worried @ first, but after a member of this thread taught me how to reschedule, I lost my worry. It took me approximately 6hours to get an earlier date (when I logged in, I saw just one vacant slot for my choice! and quickly grabbed it). Goes to show that your state of mind plays a crucial role in the kind of experiences you encounter.

So Just keep calm, be positive and prayerful. Check the site regularl and I trust You will get a date.

Congrats Dearie. When God has your back, even with a community college admission, your visa is guaranteed. I celebrate your success.

Nonetheless, please note your case is unique. The chances of getting a visa are pretty slim with a community college admission. Not impossible o, but pretty slim.

To future Applicants: To increase the odds of getting ur visa, get a University admission, Take standardized tests n build up your profile. It really helps.

I actually found out that people don't even care about OPT. My India friends are either getting married or starting a new degree. They said OpT Na rubbish. No job and once some company hear say u want them to file for you, they won't give the job

They actually didn't give any reason why but what do you think Y is it useless ??

Another question is if one has a pending I-485, will one start paying in state tuition even if the green card hasn't arrived

Greetings boss. Please can you elucidate on the bolded.

Depending on the course getting job during OPT year sometimes is almost impossible. Still the government will give you 90 days to get job at all cost in your field either you're extending OPT or not. Also check this below.

I think it should be cleared like that. The question again is wud d scholarship be intact despite the fact I have deferred the admission? Thanks a lot

You could get an extension letter from the school. You can actually resume 2 wks after. Just get a letter from them and go with it to the embassy and the POe

did you write any standardized test ?

which course are you going for ?? undergraduate or graduate ?

which category of school granted you admission ?? community college or university ?

how old are you ??

when did you graduate from university or secondary school as the as the may be ?

did you apply yourself or someone packaged you ?? probably agents of darkness

lets start here find then we find the root cause of your denials.

you can also post your previous transcripts of denials for experts to dissect and constructively criticize .

hope you find solution here !!!

This thread is for serious minded students that follow procedure and lets try our best individually to keep it aglow so as to command respect.

Hello, boss! There are many reasons why it's advised that one writes standardized tests.

Firstly, it helps to re-ignite the academic excellence in you which might have gone into redundancy. Remember you are going for a degree program and you have unavoidable tests and exams you are going to write unless you are using F1 visa as an escape route.

Secondly, standardized tests boost your chances of getting a visa approval during your visa interview day. These standardized tests seem to convince the VOs of your intention of maintaining F1 status when you get to the States.

Thirdly, standardized tests might or even contribute to the success of getting funding for the program you are about to run.

Boss, I hope I have convinced you with these following reasons the essence and how paramount it is to take standardized tests.
