Hello House, Please I need your urgent help 1. Anybody who has used united airlines to travel back to Nigeria should assist on how to go about buying an infant's ticket (either 2ways or 1way) because one way is more expensive than two ways and someone told me ill also need to show a two way ticket for myself before id be allowed to purchase a two way ticket for my infant. 2. Also, consent form for obtaining a Nigerian Passport. My husband is not around and I intend obtaining a Nigerian passport in the Nigerian Embassy at Washington DC. Id like to know if a scanned copy of the consent form will be accepted at the embassy. Please help. Thank You. |

fola62: A scanned copy wont be accepted he ll av to notorize it here frm a lawyer nd send d original copy to you via post office or fedex. call United air dat u want to add an infant to ur ticket. Infant less dan 2yrs re entitled to pay 10% of d fare. |
hmmm.. this is getting serious... happy i did PTA with fidelity more than enough at 198.95 which fidelity bank branch did u get it from and aw long did u run the account for? |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by olokings(m): 8:02pm On Jul 08, 2015 |
I used the branch at ceddi plaza. Buh apparently all of their major branches in Abuja does it. I bought using my passport n after I maxed out on d limit, I bought using my wife's passport... Apparently u can use a relative's passport and ticket as long as both personalities are there. The guy made me called wifey out to meet me up at the branch n physically collect d Benjamins. PS: I have ran the account 9 years going now.

|

anonymousmum: @anonymousmum - I just saw this, and I have gone thru all your posts. They were truly insightful. However you never said how u resolved the extra billing issue with them @ methodist sugarland. Where you able to negotiate it away/reduce it or did you finally settle for a payment plan? Also, is there any particular reason why u chose there over Oakbend? I'd just like to know cos they are the last two places on my shortlist & u may have some extra criteria that could be key. (I'm sorry- I might b pickin ur brains 2much or on personal level here..., would have tried using PM but I dnt knw how dat works) cheers everyone |

good day all we have been reading posts here and have now decided to join in order to pass some info and to ask a question. following advice gotten from here, and using the template found here too, i sent the embassy a letter saying we have changed plans and want to deliver in the US now after getting the visa, this is the reply we got. before i post the reply let me ask the question, pls we plan to deliver in new york cos we have family there, could anybody furnish us with affordable advice ? hospitals within the range of MIHS and doctoresparati el paso cos am guessing even if its a bit more expensive in new york the convenience of staying with family versus staying alone in elpaso/maricopa. any advise and suggestions pls. ehen so this is the reply we got from the embassy: Thank you for your inquiry. Please note that there is no legal requirement to inform us that your wife is seeking to give birth in the United States or that her purpose of travel has changed. The Customs and Border Protection, a branch of USCIS, determines a traveler’s eligibility of entry to the U.S, she should be prepared to demonstrate to the immigration officer at the port of entry why she is seeking medical treatment and that she has logistical and financial plans for the treatment. We recommend that you review the regulations on non-immigrant aliens entering the United States for purposes of childbirth at https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/882/~/visit-the-u.s.-while-pregnant-and-the-risks-involved and plan accordingly. Please she should not stay in the U.S. longer than she is permitted by Customs and Border Protection at the port of entry. The Department of Homeland Security at the port of entry will determine her eligibility to enter the United States on any travel. If she choose to give birth in the U.S., we advise her to bring evidence of payment, both when she enters the U.S. on this visit, and at her future U.S. visa interviews. Sincerely, |

You are so right at IsySleek, Those peeps at the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC are just funny, I paid for expedited and the young man there asked me to come back next day, when I met my aunt who works there and told her I was leaving and that I had paid for Expedited Passport and was told to come back next day she was so angry, she went to them took back our money and gave back to us, and still we got the Passport same day, in fact she told me to go home that she will bring it when it is ready instead of me waiting. Nigerians are truly the same everywhere, I was so shocked, and that their business centre in the embassy, very funny idea, everything is billed. |

shawlar: Hey there I opted for a payment plan - I was told I had up to a year to pay up however I settled the bill fully a month later. I did not have any specific reason for picking Meth Sugarland over Oakbend...I am a private person, and the thought of meeting many Nigerians in the waiting room at Oakbend was just not it for me (no offence, its just the way I am - you may have gathered from my username ) ) Oh and my aunt who lives in Sugarland raved about the hospital - and less of Oakbend...she is into hospital administration in the Houston area... You may want to get in first, visit the two hospitals and then make your decision. Cheers 3 Likes |

@ Kingsmum thank you for the info on affordable hospitals in Chicago. I reached out to Mount Sinai hospital in Chicago and their hospital fee is $2025. Doctor's fee is $3000 for normal delivery and $4000for CS. I still need you help in thr house. Dear house, I need info/doctors contact in Chicago, my request is......I need hospitals/drs where I can pay my bills before I travel, cos I woild want to show my evidence of payment at the POE. All the hospitals and drs I have contacted in Chicago said I can only pay upon arrival. I.e. walk-ins and pay cash. I really want an affordable hosp/dr with whom I can pay at least part of my bill beforeI arrive Chicago, so I can have an evidence of payment at the POE. Where I can do a bank transfer into their account from Nigeria. Dear house, this is very very urgent.......I need all the helpI can get as per JJC on this forum. When I remember Nigerian embassy Washington Dc, I just keep laughing,I was there 2wks ago to get my baby's passport. They accept scanned copy of concent letter, please go there with cash. you might need to buy a $30 money order if you haven't associated the passport fee(money order) with innovate1, that's besides the $30 processing fee. I got my baby's passport the same day, To expedite passport, you will write an application letter, stating why you want to expedite and then buy a $90 money order One page photocopy cost $1 To print per page cost $10 For every money order you buy from them, you buy another $5 money order to process it. Please note: preferred money order is the one from post office, they say it clears faster than the rest. 1 Like |

payju11: Chicago hospitals don't take debit/credit cards, don't even allow you make transfers into their account while you are in the country, all the ones we've seen won't even give you acceptance till you show up & they only take cash or money order if you dont have insurance . The question now is "how do you intend to get that done from thousands of miles away? Babe, I'm not going to be a bearer of bad news but that plan is not likely to work for chicago.. get another hospital for burden of proof purposes & come in through JFK cos the CBP agents @ chicago POE are not even smiling.....
