It's the positioning. The baby is more comfy the way you hold him with the preferred boobs. It's quite normal you can check google. Just keep trying

Give him the non preferred one firsts esp when he is really hungry

I personally don't feel comfortable with giving babies any thing orally if the ingredients are not listed....because I google all the components of any medication and even ask on baby center when in doubt. We all read about what "My pikin" teeth mixture did to those poor babies.

I use IUD. Hubby hasn't complained abt it. It needs good hygiene. D side effects I have are headache and cramps. But they don't last for long.

Same here. I use IUCD and no complaints whatsoever from hubby. I really think its the best FP method

my dear, I had similar issue o, when my son was 2 year, I left him watching TV while I was cooking on a Saturday, I didn't know he had access to toilet paper and he played with it and some got stuck in his nose, but cos he talks a lot, he started talking at 10months, he told me he had elephant in his nose, can u imagine! I quickly checked his nose and sucked, used cotton bud. I almost died that day hen!

@ Chelsea25, You can give her super apetite plus and maybe switch to Lactogen 2, that was what I did when my LO had same experience as ur with his old milk. And he is doing very fine now and looks very chubby too. I also gives him friso gold rice based cereal, it helps babies add weight.

If she was taking Aptamil before, and there was no reaction, then it obviously can't be Aptamil causing this issue.

Did you make any other feeding or drink changes?

The super appetite plus am talking about is syrup. My baby started taking it when he was 6 month + and he takes 2.5 ml twice a day, I later reduced it to 2. 5 once a day when he started eating like there is no tomorrow.

Did a doctor prescribe it to you? Giving appetite stimulants at a young age is not exactly a good move. I've begged up to 3 doctors to give my 22mth old son an appetite stimulant, dem no gree. All thry advised is multivitamin...shikena.

gud day all mummies in d house, @ Nita n all mamas dat gives their babies pap, pls when adding crayfish do u grand it together wit d corn/millet b4 seeving or u add crayfish after seeving b4 preparing it for ur lo?
2. @ Lovina u said purity cereal is better than frisogold pls what makes purity better? want to know pls, n secondly i read an instruction on d purity cereal dat no water should b added except d baby's milk pls how is dis possible/ what exactly are they talking abt?.
3. how long does it take for scare caused by alefo to clear, cause my lo is havin dark patches on her back since she had alefo when she was abt 3-5m n had heat rash on her back when she was 7ms, she is 14m now d dark patches is still there + d skin is so dried n shrinks aswell just at d back. pls any idea on what to use to clear it? tnx n God bless u all as u respond

No but I give her what I eat#small quantity#.could it be teething.her poo is green somehow and watery?

Hello dear, no i do not grind it with the corn/millet. i grind separately and store in an air tight container. Also i use very clean and nice looking crayfish (don't know how to explain that). i add the desired quantity of the grinded crayfish when cooking the pap.

Read the contents. Purity is more fortified just like aptamil is way better than sma( I've read the contents and was amazed). Yes about the water part, just add your clean water and scoops of milk to the cereal. I've used the product for years and no rwaction

@Iamdec I'm in your position and my baby is about 16 days. I feel engorged once in a while but my milk didn't come out on time and they kept pushing formula on me. I pumped like mad, took herbs but my main issue is eating well and no stress (the madam of inflicting stress on me is here to do "omugwo" and she keeps insisting on formula and now my baby hasn't pooed in 3 days and she's vexing because I said she should leave us be).

I've heard from so many people that pumping isn't a good indicator of how much, the day I bf-ed my baby for 45 mins and hey weighed her, she gained an ounce but I had never been able to pump upto that in one sitting. Now I'm pumping 2 ounces but still want to do more. I'm so exhausted and I just wish I had better support.

baby cries and wails hourly on BM so I did formula and she still wept. I feed her on demand because I'm trying to push up my volume of milk. She's been responding well to my methods before and gained back her birth weight and then some, so let's see how more BM and less formula goes at the next weigh-in.

6months. I'm not sure if they have under 6months. Its in packets and the puree in bottles

Just keep pumping everyday. The first day I pumped, I could only get about 2oz. By the time I did it for about a week, I was already getting 4/5oz....and it increased frpm there on.

Gd day mothers,av nt been able 2 post or even read pple's posts 4 days now cos my lo has been battling wt diarrhea,I recently changed his milk 4rm peak 123 to cow nd gate nuri junior cos peak 123 made him stool a lot bt I think he is reactin 2 smthin in d cow nd gate,after a few days of takin it he startd stoolin terribly wt mucus in it.we rushd him 2 d hosp on sat nd d doc said he ws dehydrated despite d ORS dt I gave him,he ws given sm drugs nd av stoppd givin him d milk,ther is improvement now.pls which milk should I giv him or I shld nt giv him any again?I ws so scared o bt my God took control.pls advise on d type of milk.thanks
