we would have finished 2nd last season if that injury-prone carrick did not injure himself. we had won 6 in a row against the toughest teams in the league during that spell.

no player is going to hold us to ransom again with either injury/suspension/lack of form. every position is being filled with 2-3 alternatives now so we can only do better. we have a stronger squad this year than last year.
