The governor should not ban them without providing them with something to do and also what they can eat. If not, some will even join the boko boys.

so beggers do not have right to beg anymore or what?

There's a reason they are called physically challenged people. I have seen many who are educated, contribute meaningfully to society despite their conditions.
Saying begging is aa business means they are lazy and have lost it.Every human being has a family and its the responsibility of the family to take care of its old ones. The young beggers can be engaged productively.

As for defamation of character? Right to life? I didn't see where it was threatened because your right to life doesn't supercede the right to life of others. They are usually used to perpetrrate crime so takinng them off those areas guarantees the right to life of others too.

Nigeria has 2 kinds of orders:
Government orders and koboko orders.

It is up to the beggars to decide which one they will obey.

Giving alms to beggers in the streets of Kaduna, particularly on Fridays is a tradition and one mechanism for the rich to show compassion, albeit in an ineffective manner. On top of that, these beggars have nowhere else to go, no safety net, no social programs, no food stamps, nothing!

El Rufai should be very careful here else this affair will blow up in his face.

Leave the beggars alone until you've built the infrastructure to rehabilitate these fellow Nigerians. Many of them simply need wheelchairs, or mechanical limbs, and a few startup naira, to become functioning and productive members of the society. El-Rufai, teach these poor folks how to fish and let them live, instead of throwing them in the ocean without a life jacket. What you did with beggars in Abuja will not work in Kaduna. Abuja beggars simply returned to their states of origin when you kicked them out of FCT. Where do you expect the Kaduna beggars to go? embarassed

in as much as I agree with most of your points, I disagree that most have nothing/nowhere else to go/do. it's only a tiny fraction of all those beggers that sincerely need alms. again most those genuine beggers can get 3 square meals daily from their immediate neighbours and relatives. take children out of the picture because it is 100% absolute responsibility of their parents, to not only feed and cloth them, but to also educate them with a means of making a legal living.
those with disabilities in many cases you will find out that they even have more than one wife and depend solely on begging, without even trying to get a skill.
bottom line is they make a lot of money in begging that most will not agree to be kept in a retirement home. many of them are above average Nigerian poor, some even have businesses run for them by other people.
the final point is why must it 99% Hausa people that beg? even in Saudi Arabia.?

Those beggars actually see begging as a decent form of livelihood. Many don't even have the slightest reason to be begging. Yet offer any of the able-body a Job, they will ignore u. Volunteer to sponsor their children to school and u might end up being stab. Meaning they have come to see begging as a lucrative means of livelihood.

Most of your assertions are not based in facts, research, or reliable statistics. These assertions are based on conjecture with a base in prejudice and borderline bigotry.

Here are some of your prejudicial assertions:

(1)It's only a tiny fraction of all those beggars that sincerely need alms.

(2)Those with disabilities in many cases you will find out that they even have more than one wife and depend solely on begging, without even trying to get a skill.

(3)Bottom line is they make a lot of money in begging that most will not agree to be kept in a retirement home.

(4)Many of them are above average Nigerian poor, some even have businesses run for them by other people.

(5)The final point is why must it 99% Hausa people that beg? even in Saudi Arabia.?

When did you conduct a survey or reliable research to reach these wild conclusions? I'm am sorry sir, you sound like a prejudiced bigot.
