Let me try and act all Sherlock Holmes on the issue at hand. I know we like to attribute everything to a divine power in this part of the world, but looking back to Team12's and Ivylane's applications, you can't tell me its just 'grace' and there wasnt something in their application that stood them out from others for the faster processing. Consider also, Toboy's and Chrisviral's Applications. I'm inclined to believe that, they use some key words to filter application to process like Professional qualification, Travel history, Intended Level of Study, Funding, blah blah.. The last two may be flawed considering Taike has both yet hasnt gotten anything-dunno if she has the first. But I refuse to believe the existence of a queue. I've seen quite a number of proofs to let me know the processing time is flexible. 1 Like |

Hi everyone, am glad to join this forum. Please I need advice on my academic pursuit. I applied for Dip. Programme at Uni. Of Ottawa which is meant to commence in January 2016, still awaiting my admission letter but got a shocking news of the processing of Student Visa for Nigeria to be 51 weeks which is the worst among the countries in Africa. Can someone enlighten me on my chances of joining January batch. I expect my admission letter to be out this month and thought 4 months should be fine to process the Visa. Please advice. Please kindly mention my case and give advice. |

darefestus:For me, its nothing about her application or packaging. I would like to put the grace or luck factor for those who aren't that religious. Have followed this thread long enuf to know that a few get this kind of attention. I remember 'toucheli' back in part 5 or so. He was an undergrad and some other few. |

berexio1: Baba, u don dey mix Albino and Oyinbo man o. When people stormed na because their embassy dey accessible as some people dey go submit for there-Ever since they stopped and directed all applications to CVAC, you no even fit access the embassy talkless of storm. Besides, some of the famous past stormers applied online. Infact, the online route got famous because it was almost certain there was hardly a backlog and your response was sure once your app took longer and you stormed. |

berexio1: Something happens to a select group of people having the same profile (or nearly) and you call it grace or luck or fate? You'd be great in the religion section. |

lamama1:You can't just go for your biometrics without a biometrics request letter. Check your CIC account for it. You will receive a Mail with a biometrics letter attached. You will take that along with your passport to VAC for biometrics. Am assuming you didn't get the letter yet. If that's the case, you will have to wait for it. Similar cases happened few months back on this thread. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by soji0509: 10:37am On Jul 14, 2015 |
You have paid for it already now, I guess u did online. Or you Didn't you apply online ? They sent you a letter to your mail box when u submitted your application. Check your spam and your CIC account you be be able to get that mail. You are expected to print it as proof of payment. You may then take along 5K in case of "any-incacity ". I reality you need only 300 nira or so for a folder which FAC will sell to you to contain your biometric doc. You may call VAC to explain you sutuation they should be able to offer you the much needed help ASAP. Hurry please lamama1: 1 Like |

berexio1: Berexio, Lol.. Take a deep breath, clear your head and re-read my post. I didnt say they 'did' (at least not consciously) anything to make their application different from ours. I said there is something in their profile that maybe fitted with a particular keyword/profile that CiC wanted. i. A couple of them were going for an internationally recognised schorlarship as undergraduates with a condition to return after studies. ii. Another was going for a PHD, locally funded(with tge same condition as above)with a Graduate Assistanship position in the school, having the requisite professional experience back here in Nigeria. iii. The third one I neednt even elaborate on - The profile and documents alone speaks for itself. Now, compare these people to the litany of profiles you get here normally and see if there is any similarities in there application. I'll tell you, if you areca commonwealth scholar, even with a 10year gap, they will most likely give you the visa with faster processing time sef..Unto say e sure say u go come back home. If u want an interpretation to your local dialect, HayqinsbFX will be kind enough to provide you with that. I'm out! 1 Like |

darefestus:Ur not even getting my point dare. So if they have preference for pple with scholarships plus all the other reasons u stated here. Should that make them not give a decision for those without these? Its simply unfair to keep others waiting while they unjustly treat some applications. That's unethical considering they paid thesame processing fee.Applications should normally be treated on first-come first serve. 4 Likes |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Nobody: 11:15am On Jul 14, 2015 |
berexio1: I now get your point. I wasnt even thinking of preference for 'everybody' with a scholarship - I've been knocked out of that utopia. The delay in processing is one issue I no dey wan talk about, infact I've taken up this mantra while I wait: "Beggars cant be choosers" |

favour0011: Please you people should stop asking this shite question. Dont confuse future readers of this thread. Its not the reason for refusal, na just follow follow. You will notice it never stands alone. People (even in this part have stated people in Canada as part sponsors and gotten trv. ...Another guy's elder brother was studying in the same school he was heading to and he still got his TRV. |

Nobody here is rili been able to explain the meaning of strong ties in canada... so can you explain it for us. The few people I have seen with that as a reason for denial hv family members in canada without strong ties here in nigeria. darefestus: |
