We lost the titles in 2010 and 2012 basically due to injuries together with :

in 2009/10, rooney got injured & he never recovered for almost 9 months. he didn't score an open goal for united after that injury from march 2010 to january 2011. who would trust such a striker to deliver the title?

SAF joked with some matches. In 2012 he benched Rooney against Blackburn. He tested Scholes against Wigan /Newcastle.

he benched rooney against blackburn to punish rooney & the other players that broke SAF's curfew. rooney has no discipline. they went clubbing to drink alcohol when they should be in their hotel focusing on the next game.

In 2010 He benched Nani and Carrick against Chelsea with Bayern Munich in sight. A league decisive game with few matches to end the season. A win for United would have ended the season.

we lost the title in 2010 cos rooney gave up. he injured himself & never recovered quickly to chase chelsea out of the top spot.

when the going gets tough, rooney either loses form or gets himself injured. he's never single-handed ly won us a title in his 12 seasons at man utd.

All I know is Rooney had a good season in 2012/13 considering he rose up to the challenge to carry the team when RVP went 10 or more matches without scoring. That was when we went on a huge gap at the top over City and set the stage for unassailable lead.

rooney also went about 9 games without a goal in the previous season. at least for van persie, he got injured when he fell into a camera hole against fulham.

he also scored a legit goal in that period that was ruled as titus bramble own goal against sunderland. a shot at goal that was deflected by a defender should have been van persie's goal but who cares?

van persie scored vital goals @etihad, stamford bridge, emirates, white hart lane & at anfield. that was what won us the 12/13 title. we took precious points from our direct rivals - teams that were likely to win the league were silenced on their home turf!


if SAF thought rooney was reliable, he wouldn't have bought RVP shortly after rooney scored 27 league goals. you are counting sheer numbers instead of counting vital goals that matter. you got a lot to learn!

As 4 lacazette, the french ligue 1 aint the same as Prem lig man! @ least cavani is proven in both the french and italian leagues and I think his brutish style would help him transition 2 the prem with ease! IMO!

This reminds me of something. I made a suggestion about something to my Area Manager. He was so happy that the solution I proffered was good for the problem we were trying to resolve. He said I should accompany him to the Regional Director to announce we had got a good solution.
