pazienza: Yea, definitely..infact 50% of resources and people oriented leaders will go a very long way in easing the horrible situation. Remember we used to have 50% and the 'all-desirable' regional system and your brother Chukwuma 'outsmarted' the system.. By reason of the fact that hes your brother, you are partly responsible for the mess we find oirselves |

Kastonkastroll: Most of your state governors are lazy. Plus....every Nigerian thinks that leadership happens in Abuja. Also...when your money is earned from selling resources....ie easy money...why should you spend money on infrastructure...since the money would come easy. In detail...the reason why things work in the UK,US Germany, et al...is because it is their way of attracting local and foreign investors and industries....who bring in the tax revenues that the countries need for their treasury. In Nigeria...why waste your time renovating the road...when you are not dependent on your people's knowledge and know how for the cash....and whether you get 5 industries, or four.....the oil money will still come in. 1 Like |

HopeAtHand: Haha! Is Chukwuma not your brother too? Was he not a SS Igboid? Or are we forgetting that "we" are currently using our moniker that should be speaking as an Ikwerre and not as a Yoruba? *grins* 3 Likes |

remember007: So bad leadership by the North excuses bad leadership by Southern Niger Delta Governors over the last 16 years. Continue. That is why we suffer. We excuse bad leadership at home...while complaining about enemies abroad. You Nigerians better wake up....and ask your governors some hard questions. You elected them to end this mess. 2 Likes |

HopeAtHand: Nzeogwu was from Delta State. Additionally...it is not control over money....it is what you use the money for that constitutes development. Most of you Nigerians think of development in terms of allawee from govt. That is why you and the Hausas fight over oil money all day long. No. Development is about using your limited resources to develop solutions for the community and indeed the world. In Delta....you have the problem of oil spill. How many inventions and industries have been developed to deal with the effects of oil spill? Or will the oil companies continue to wipe your bum bum with dollars? Are your schools training people that can innovate...or are they just clerk producing factories? Think about that...and not interms of money. Resource control is a good idea.....until it gets into the had of people who think the world owes them a living. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

You always think outside the box... And before you say any Rubbish I'm not from SS but I grew up there so there's nothing that I said that I've not seen..... let's start with UDU LGA oF delta state.... An oil producing community not far from warri with very poor People and super wealthy chiefs and Militants.... . . . Its high time you start asking your Governors questions!!! 2 Likes |

Here is what needs to be done 1.Invest in education...technical and vocational education. 2.Invest in industries. 3.Get Delta off oil dependency.(I did not say no resource control....just mean get Delta into a point where if oil becomes redundant...they will survive.) Oil is a curse. |
