dearpreye: To keep it short. The book seeks to explain the advantages of disadvantages and the disadvantages of advantages. If you like outliers, you won't be disappointed. Its very insightful 1 Like 1 Share |

benjaminiyke: That law works in every setting. I used to have a BOSS who never tolerated anyone deliberately or inadvertently trying to outshine him. Even in the home setting, no man will tolerate a woman who always tries to outshine him. |

I'm presently reading 'who moved my cheese by spencer' This is a great book for all and sundry, it talks about how people deals with changes. the authors states that changes is bound to happen but if it happens we expected to endure and moved forward. Also for every position we find ourselves, we are expected to prepare for changes so that the change will not affect us deeply |

seunben:Yh......capitalism thou its a level of social evolution, remember wht Karl max said in his conflict theory "social change is imminent and society will pass through four stages of social development, Bourgeoisie, Proletariat, socialism and Communism which will be the end of development. He also advocated that capitalism is the source of misery, poverty and other form of misfortune in the society "A critique of political economy". capitalism feed gather wealth at expense of the weak. they spread this to the Africa in form of imperialism they enhance their economic development through the exploitation by the European capitalism. |

dearpreye: You're talking about WHY NATIONS FAIL?. It's a good book, but a little self centered. It's more like a history book about how political origins of nation states is responsible for their wealth. It disregards things like climate. Though it made reference to slavery, but in it's attempt to defend western bourgeoise interests didn't consider slavery itself as one of the major reason for our setback in Africa. It keeps blaming governments, at least to the point I've read. Give it a try, if you can. 1 Like 1 Share |

ghogz: I have the Softcopy for Unashamed(Lineage of Grace). Its 5 in one. Unveiled, Unashamed, Unshaken, Unspoken, Unafraid. How do I send it to you? As for "Scarlet of thread", I dont have the downloaded softcopy, but I read it on Scribd dot com. If you use an android phone, you can download scribd application, create an account on it, and read lots of books. That's how I read most books these days. I haven't read Leota's Garden. I guess you can send that to me too. Thanks |
