Just realized I didn't quite respond to this. Thanks bro for the advice. We have created an "expenses vs funds" spreadsheet and have written a strong letter of clarification. The sponsor also wired C$40,000 to her school which more than covers her first year expenses -- hopefully this helps. Additionally, my sister is adding her own SOA, with N1.6m I hope this works. Thanks again. BTW, I couldn't find @cruzajs... is that the right spelling? hayqinsbFX: |

hayqinsbFX: Bro haha you are an engineer na. Engineering and sciences hardly discriminate against each other. How can you say chemical and environmental engineering are not related? 1 Like |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by hayqinsbFX: 7:47am On Jul 17, 2015 |
Yh, it cud be related. But you're going for a PHD! That supercedes anything. Taike: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by hayqinsbFX: 7:50am On Jul 17, 2015 |
As much as it cud be related, it cud very much be unrelated. A job opening for a chemical engineer can't be picked up by an environmental scientist. In as much as the can have a line where they interwove, that doesn't make it the same thing. standupguy: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by hayqinsbFX: 7:52am On Jul 17, 2015 |
From your reply, I think I can remember you case... It's @cruzaj without the S. I think you have made a perfect mmove in sorting out finances... When doyou plan to reapply thesoj: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by standupguy(m): 7:57am On Jul 17, 2015 |
hayqinsbFX: We are talking about an academic progression here not a job with specifics. and it is perfectly normal for a chemical engineer to desire to progress into environmental engineering or sciences. In fact it is one of the most relative progression for chemical engineers. 3 Likes |

I said I agree with you, I hope the VO sees it in that light too.. In his case, the diploma played a major role though. I hope the VO is also science inclined to understand the way you understood. If the VO was commercial inclined nko... Me Ayam just saying o. standupguy: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by standupguy(m): 8:13am On Jul 17, 2015 |
hayqinsbFX: You could be right about the diploma thing, But as for V.O not knowing or understanding field of study, all it takes the v.o is to check the academic requirement of your program and every field eligible for admission would show |

Could it NOT be the astronomical fall of Nira ? I guess those involved where qualified marginally in respect of their finance and a massive, sudden devaluation of Naira with no prospect of it stopping, I guess gave rise to the insufficient Funds. Painful indeed Crich: |
