Hi people, I need help.
We have always baked cake in my house, especially during festive periods like birthdays but recently I made it commercial(I.e I bake and supply supermarkets around my house).

The challenge I'm having is getting the right mix to make my Cake moist.
Nobody has actually complained I kind of feel the need to improve my baking skills.
I look forward to your suggestions.

you can either put a cup of water inside the oven when baking the cake or add the amount of eggs called for in the recipe but add two extra egg yolks. The extra yolks add the density and moisture you'd find in a bakery cake

You may consider adding unsweetened yogurt

I bake too and I found that it has a lot to do with the baking time. Bake until no batter comes out on a toothpick inserted in the middle. Not even a minute more than that otherwise it bakes too much and becomes dry and crumbly. You just need to hone your timing skills (This is provided the recipe is a good one. You could share your recipe and I'll see if there's anything to improve on there)

1. its either you pre-PARR the cake with holy water or simply sprinkle it in the morning and evenings on the cake

2. or alternatively you use irrigation method on the cake. this is also effective (especially if you did agricultural science in high school)
