You've started with all these your unconfirmed facts. Some get the mail long before status changes to "dispatched". When you're not sure of something, there's nothing wrong with indicating that you're not sure. Enjoy the rest of your day hayqinsbFX: |

TheBae:People wonders won't end oooo! I searched for a one-way flight to Saint John's, NL and I got the cheapest for 303k, so I decided to check a return ticket with the same parameters o (date and airport), and I got the cheapest for 280k. I know you won't believe so I'm attaching the sceen shots here..... So my advise, even if you don't plan to return, check for prices for both return ticket and one way ticket |

Wait wait..I'm not argueing with you...just enlightening you.. Do u want to take this P. I'm very sure here.. Haven't seen one who gets that mail before the status changes to dispatch.. If there's anyone say YAY! TheBae: |

Lol it happens like that sometimes. Just the way prices change depending on the time you check it and the dates you search for. When one is searching for cheaper tickets, one has to search all possible options, you never know. ayooluwatoni: |

teana4040: 1. Travel history 2. Family ties in canada and in country of residence 3.Purpose of visit 4.Personal assets and finanical status. Do i need more sponsors or what? How do i tackle...am so confused right now My dear it is well. Please take note of the following when reapplying. 1. Personal assets and financial status: Means the VO thinks the 5.1m in your sponsor's account may not be enough to cater for your tuition and stay, since you stated that your tuition plus stay would cost $26,000 dollars, and thats about N5million. Your brother may have a wife or his family to cater to or he may even have to withdraw some of the money for something urgent. Hence the money is too thin and does not have enough tolerance. Do you consider having a joint sponsor? 2. Family ties: Means the VO is not satisfied you have enough ties here in Nigeria to return after your program. How many siblings do you have? Did you give enough information about them by submitting their birth certificates? Did you submit the birth certificates of your parents? Does your dad own a company here? Are you employed? What have you been doing since you graduated school? Did you submit an SOP to explain in brief why you chose your program, why you chose Canada and why you would return to Nigeria after your program? You need something to convince the VO that you will return to Nigeria. 3. Purpose of visit: Are you going for an UG or PG? What course did you study in your UG and what course do you intend going for in Manitoba? Are they related? Please provide these info so we can help you reapply. Don't worry, it will be fine. Just chill and prepare to reapply. 1 Like |

To answer your question, the closest thing to Top-Up in Canada is the post-graduate diploma (PGD). Did you mean that you want to apply for MSc in Geology? Your question states you want to apply for a BSc even though you already have one; I'll assume that was a typo. skymorbabs: |

Dear All, Please, i need advise on this. Regarding the finance of your sponsor. Your sponsor happens to be your dad and has a SOA of about 5.5M-6M. Your 1year fees plus other stuffs is about 4.8M a year. He has 4 kids, but your the second. The first is done with school. When filling the family information and how many dependants he has, how do one go about it because, i'v been bothered about this finance. How do i scale through? NB: Getting a co-sponsor might not fly because we have none. I just need your candid advise on this. Regards. 1 Like |

Hello, Would one require an airport transit visa while travelling to Canada - in case there are stopovers in maybe Amsterdam/Frankfurt, depending on the airline. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by SeraSera(m): 8:07pm On Jul 26, 2015 |
badtsharpguy: Amsterdam/Frankfurt--Transit Visa not required. |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by ayooluwatoni(m): 8:28pm On Jul 26, 2015 |
dahjor: I knw u dont need transit visa for qatar and airfrance, as I've used both of them in time past, they just probably would take you to Doha and Paris (respectively). I knw there's a form of partnership btw klm and airfrance (not too sure of the relationship), because my ticket then had both klm and airfrance on it, so I guess the treatment should almost be the same. As for lufthansa, I really dont knw anything about it. Air France is cool, their meals are far better than Qatar.......but food is food anyway, I think I ate all then.....lolz |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by ayooluwatoni(m): 8:34pm On Jul 26, 2015 |
Godymn: You most probably will need to get a co-sponsor. Except if your dad's annual income is not less than 7 to 10M, and that's not a guarantee that those VOs would accept that too sef, considering the fact that you have 3 other siblings he has to take care of. A sponsor does not necessarily mean someone that will give you a dime! All you need from the sponsor is a statement of account and a letter of sponsorship! |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Godymn: 8:45pm On Jul 26, 2015 |
ayooluwatoni: Was just thinking....Whats the implication if you only state that your the only child or mayb you state you and one of your sibling? |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by favour0011: 8:45pm On Jul 26, 2015 |
Hi guys. Is it necessary to get a consent letter from your dad if you sponsor is your maternal uncle and u have been working for 2 yrs. I was thinking it's not rili necessary been that u re no longer his dependant, but I could be wrong. Pls ur advice! |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 8:49pm On Jul 26, 2015 |
Just look for a co-sponsor and don't complicate things for yourself. It doesn't have to be a blood relative. I don't think anyone here would advise you to lie to CIC. Except you have like 15 siblings. Lol. But seriously, look for an uncle/aunty or your parents' friend to act as co-sponsor. Goodluck Godymn: |

favour0011:My brother/sister, when it comes to issue of visa, I submit even unreasonable documents sef, anything I can just lay my hands upon and I feel would help. But really it is not necessary you get any consent letter from your dad, however if it's not gonna cost you anything to get it, pls go ahead and get it. |

Godymn:The problem is not only with your siblings. The issue is your annual financial requirement is high! It's not as if the money in your dad's account is not sufficient, but the VO might assume you just wanna run to Canada and not return, except you can prove him/her wrong with your travel history! Else financial sustainability is another way to prove that, and that means a fat account and probably fixed assets. I really wont advise you to lie about your siblings. Don't forget your information would be stored in their database, you cannot tell them you have no siblings now, and in say 3 years time after probably getting ur PR, now tell them your siblings wanna come visit. ...... if you'll lie, pls tell lies that won't backfire in the future! 1 Like |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Godymn: 9:30pm On Jul 26, 2015 |
ayooluwatoni: Yeah, i actually thought about that. Since one of ma elder sibling will be done with school nxt year, that leaves me with 2 other siblings. Was planning on filling the four of us then saying two other dependants since one will be done with school early next year. My dad has about 3 landed properties though. I still dont know if that would fly. If i cant get a co-sponsor, my last resort will be applyin like that hoping for the best and God's favour. |
