Please those already in Canada, I know someone has asked this question in the past but what documents will I need at the POE. I never got my admission package so I'm abit worried.
I contacted my school and they sent the following documents via email:
1). Acceptance letter
2). Welcome letter from the dean
3). Data Form
4). Enrolment Verification Letter
And I have my receipts and telex copy + visa approval letter from CIC.
Do you think there's anything else that may be in a typical admission package that isn't listed above?
Thanks

The CBSA officer will ask to see your travel documents
when you arrive in Canada. Make sure they are not
packed in your luggage, and that you have them with
you. This will help speed up your entry to Canada.
You should be ready to show the following documents:
a valid passport or travel document

the letter of introduction from the visa office that
you received when your study permit was approved
(this letter contains your permit reference number
and the CBSA officer needs this letter to issue your
study permit)

a valid temporary resident visa (if required)

a copy of the letter of acceptance from the

designated learning institution at which you are
accepted to study

proof that you have enough money to support
yourself during your stay in Canada and

letters of reference or any other documents
recommended by the visa office where you
applied.

Carry these items and all other valuable papers, cash
and traveller’s cheques with you at all times. Do not
put them in your checked luggage.

You may not be allowed into Canada if any of your
documents are missing or if any of the information on
your application or letters of reference is incorrect.

Hello everyone,

I a question for all applicants that were denied recently after medicals;

1. Have you guys applied before?

2. If you answer to question 1 is Yes, What were the reasons given for refusal?

3. The new reasons ticked in the latest application, Are they different from the previous application?

Only you know the person is your church member, embassy doesn't. What you call the person is what they will assume the person is. So please I will advise you make that person your uncle or aunt, and the person has to claim you're his/her nephew or niece. From experience, family sponsorship is the best, dont worry about the name diff (surname), you uncle/aunt could be paternal or maternal......and there's no part of the form that requires mother's maiden name. So you're good I think!

and what will the proof be claiming his church member is uncle/aunt etc?

i dont know wat u mean by requiring agents....cos im also for seneca but i didntuse agent for admission.
The clinical research is a graduate certificate which shows more obvious progression academically.
if the fasttrack prog is what u really want to do....u cud apply for visa with the grad cert to increase ur cances in that aspect then change when ure in canada...

Hi,I am also in the same situation. I have been given admission to go for civil engineering technology (advanced diploma) in seneca and construction project management (post graduate diploma) in Conestoga college. My questions are
1. Can I get to do masters afterwards with the advanced diploma because that is my preferred option. I prefer this because it is a two year course.

2. From your replies here,it seem that it will easier to get visa with the pgd. What if the embassy ask me to pay for school fees ?

I'm so sorry about your second delay. So I read through your transcripts and I realize that the same reason was ticked for your delay as for my sister's first delay. In particular, your first application is almost an exact mirror of my sister's. We have a brother in the US with similar financials as your brother's, in fact the money in his account actually increased during the application period and was six times more than her program's annual total expenses! Our conclusion is that the VO was not fully convinced that the brother indeed would pay for her finances; this could have been because of any sort of ambiguity or lack of clarity in his sponsor letter, or could have been because he didn't submit an original bank statement (printed online copy) or a notarized letter (we submitted a regular signed letter). We fixed these issues in her subsequent application, and we prepaid more than one year of tuition and living expenses directly to the school and attached the receipt. She submitted the application, her second, today.

From previous conversations on this thread, the consensus is that the embassy can verify the authenticity of the bank statement and everything on it, but the bank can not legally give them information about the current balance on the account. This is important to note because it then leads to the conclusion that your first application was likely delayed for other reasons -- i.e. the VO wasn't convinced your brother was going to fully support you.

The only way to remove this sort of ambiguity is to specify everything possible on the sponsor's letter, for instance, he would specify exactly how much he would give you every year (e.g. "a minimum of C$30,000 per year" ), how many dependents he has (if any), his marital status, his occupation, how long he has been working, and why he is sponsoring you. Additionally, it would help if he also paid at least one year of tuition or even tuition for the whole program's length; you would include his funds transfer receipt (from his bank, showing that he was the one who transferred the money) as well your university student account payment receipt. All these are likely to allay the VO's concerns. I really feel that VOs are a bit more circumspect about sponsors who are either not your parents/siblings or who live outside Nigeria and Canada -- but these issues can be mitigated by being very specific and detailed on sponsor documentation. E go beta. :-)

A comprehensive sponsorship letter which will state reasons for sponsoring you and as well give some info about you should be fine. You can also get an affidavit to better support the claims.

I will advise you to go with the PGD and proceed to do your Masters afterwards. The embassy will not ask you to pay fees, it's totally optional and it doesn't guarantee TRV, it only increases your chances cos it shows you're committee
