Thanks..Just seeing this.. Well, that;s the issue..I haven't made up my mind yet... I have a bsc in Technology Management and I have been working for a while but the issue is I want to change career completely.. I want to do what I am passionate about which is Social work.. I know I cant do a PGD straight as I have no background in social work so I might have to do another Bsc which is almost a reason for a delay... thesoj: |

Dear Nairaland, # This is my testimony. This is intended for you guys to know that with God, all things are possible. All you have to do is ask HIM. After I received an admission offer for winter 2015, I proceeded to the study permit application after gathering all my documents. CIC FIRST APPLICATION (ONLINE) Application submitted: October 12, 2014 Application closed and rejected: November 10, 2014 Rejection reasons: Purpose of visit, length of proposed stay, personal assets and finance, current employment situation. Documents submitted: All CIC forms and requirements including; confirmation letter from the institution, IMM1294E, IMM5645E, passport, evidence of work requirement in study (since the program had an internship component) and digital photo. Proof of finance which comprised of my uncle’s (sponsor) bank statements, letter of employment stating his salary, statutory declaration (affidavit), passport and latest tax receipt. CIC SECOND APPLICATION (ONLINE) Application submitted: November 13, 2014 # Guys know that the start date for the program was on January 5, 2015 and if I do not withdraw from the program before that date, my paid tuition would be a loss. So is either I withdraw from the program at that moment or risk it all for CIC. What would you have done if you were being sponsored by someone? So, I withdrew from the program and applied again to the same institution since they (institution) could not defer an admission offer and waited for what will happen next. Medical request: January 6, 2015 Medical passed: January 11, 2015 Passport Request: January 12, 2015 Passport submitted: January 13, 2015 Application closed: January 14, 2015 POE introductory letter: January 15, 2015 Passport collected: January 16, 2015 Documents submitted: All CIC forms and requirements including; confirmation letter from the institution, IMM1294E, IMM5645E, passport, evidence of work requirement in study (since the program had an internship component) and digital photo. 1. Proof of finance which comprised of my uncle’s (sponsor) bank statements, letter of employment stating his salary, statutory declaration (affidavit), passport and latest tax receipt. 2. Letter of explanation which contained study plan (SOP), WAEC results, degree certificates and transcripts, birth certificate, CV, proof of national service completion and my own bank statements. # You should now understand at this point that when I had an admission offer, there was no visa and now I have a visa and no admission offer. # I can say that I just received another offer of admission recently and I decided to share this personal information with you because I also learnt from others here. # Please bear in mind that it has always been prayer (sometimes fasting in addition) throughout because nothing is too hard for the Lord. I would say that do not give up on God for he has not given up on you. Keep believing. He did it for me and can also do it for you as well. 10 Likes |

Hello House, Thank you for your wonderful support on here, although I'm more like a silent follower, I've asked questions a couple of times and got very useful answers. Here is the time frame of my application and docs submitted as I earlier promised. PGD Social Work - MRU Upfront Medicals - June 2 Online Application - June 3 Biometric - June 4 Medical Updated to Pass - July 22 Passport Request - July 23 Passport Submitted - July 24 Approval message from CIC - July 28 Docs Submitted: Application Form, Family info form, Schedule 1 form (for previous travels, UK and Australia) Admission offer letter Bsc Certificate Proof of tuition payment for first year and accommodation payment first year Sponsor's statement of account (My Dad - $46k dorm account) Visa pages on previous passport E-medical receipt Nysc Certificate No SOP, I wasn't motivated to write one. I would like to please know how long it will take for passport to be ready for pick from Cvac, and how long it takes to send the POE letter after approval update on CIC account. Thanks to everyone, and I wish all those still waiting for positive response God's very best and favor. 4 Likes 1 Share |

TheBae:As you are still in Nigeria visit a Diamond Bank Branch with your International Passport request to upgrade your Diamond savings a/c to Diamond Xtra a/c. Download the Diamond Bank Mobile App follow the registration instructions and you would be able to make transfers from your phone without the need for online transfers with a bank token device. However, if you would rather have a token device for online transfers you can request for one @ cost of NGN1,500. |
