raumdeuter: Have got a good one, Mourinho is know as a disciplinary and doesn't take shite from anybody, During his 2nd stint with the Blues,Hazard Chelsea best player at that time was not picked for a match after missing training. Also remember his battles with Iker in Madrid. Pep on the other hand his know for the same kind of character but he kowtow to his best player(Messi) who started to sulk, and says he wants to play CF during the ibra fiasco. Also their is a very funny story floating all over the web about Pep,Messi and a bottle of coke. http://www.goal.com/en-my/news/3895/spain/2013/09/25/4286002/messi-defied-guardiola-in-front-of-barcelona-team-mates 2 Likes |

Rafael Benitez's wife has re-opened the war of words between the new Real Madrid manager and his old foe Jose Mourinho. Montserrat Seara was quoted in La Region as saying her husband has spent much of his career tidying up the mess of Mourinho, but the Chelsea boss, who is no stranger to rivalries with opposition managers, did not take to the remark too kindly. He responded: "The lady is a bit confused, with all respect. I'm not laughing. She is confused because her husband went to Chelsea to replace Roberto Di Matteo and he went to Real Madrid and replaced Carlo Ancelotti."The only club where her husband replaced me was at Inter Milan, where in six months he destroyed the best team in Europe at the time.” It's certainly not the first time these two have crossed swords. Here we take a look back at their rivalry in quotes, dating back to Mourinho’s first season in English football and the 2005 Champions League semi-final second leg at Anfield… “You can say the linesman's scored. It was a goal coming from the moon or from the Anfield Road stands." – Mourinho after Luis Garcia’s controversial ‘ghost goal’ helped Liverpool knock Chelsea out of the Champions League. One thing is for certain. Benitez won't do better than me. Another thing is also true that should he lift the Intercontinental Cup, he will have only won two games compared to my 13. Therefore it will be my trophy and not his. Mourinho on Benitez's Inter reignChelsea were pitted against Liverpool in the 2006 Champions League group stage, but the memories of the Anfield defeat still hurt Mourinho. "They didn't score in the semi-final against us but I accept they beat us." Enough was enough for Benitez after Chelsea held Liverpool to a 0-0 draw in their first group game. "To me, Arsenal play much better football. They win matches and are exciting to watch. Barcelona and Milan too. They create excitement so how can you say Chelsea are the best team in the world?" Mourinho suffered yet more semi-final heartache against Liverpool in 2006 but this time in the FA Cup. The Chelsea boss did not take the defeat well and refused to shake Benitez’s hand. "Did the best team win? I don't think so. In a one-off game maybe they will surprise me and they can do it. In the Premiership the distance between the teams is 45 points over two seasons." A year later, the rivalry continued with Benitez taking a dig at the ‘Special One’ in April 2007. "We have our special ones here, they are our fans, who always play with their hearts." Mourinho (left) and Benitez were frequent verbal sparring partners in the Premier League. Despite leaving Chelsea, Mourinho continued his war of words with Benitez, piling the pressure on then Liverpool boss. "How many championships has Benitez won since he joined Liverpool? None," Mourinho said. "And how many names were suggested by the press to replace him? None.” Benitez took charge of Inter in 2010, succeeding Mourinho – who had won the treble the previous season – at the San Siro. The Spaniard told the Italian press: "There’s the coaches, first Mancini, then Mourinho and now me, and I hope to win more than them. We could win six trophies this season.” Mourinho was adamant his rival would not to do better than him. "One thing is for certain. Benitez won't do better than me. Another thing is also true that should he lift the Intercontinental Cup, he will have only won two games compared to my 13. Therefore it will be my trophy and not his." Mourinho went a step further, claiming he expected a thank you after Benitez led Inter to the 2010 Club World Cup. "I expected at least a thank you for the success that I gave him. Ask all the Inter fans what they think of me and him." Mourinho took over from Benitez for his second spell at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2013, just months after the Spaniard led Chelsea to the Europa League. However, Mourinho was less than impressed with the achievement. "I don't want to win the Europa League," Mourinho said. "It would be a big disappointment for me. I don't want my players to feel the Europa League is our competition." Mourinho talks a lot about a lot of people, but I prefer to talk about facts. At Liverpool, with a squad half of the value of Chelsea, we twice knocked his Chelsea side out of the Champions League. Benitez on Mourinho's European failure Mourinho continued his verbal assault on Benitez’s Chelsea reign after Mourinho’s side beat Manchester City at the Etihad in October, 2013: "I watched every game of Chelsea against City in the last year. I saw the game at Wembley, the game at home, the game at City, I saw even parts of the friendlies in the States. "Mental. Not tactical. Nothing. Mental. Afraid to assume. Afraid to go. Afraid to say we want to win, we can win." Mourinho may have branded Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger a specialist in failure, but in 2014 Benitez wanted to look at the facts regarding the Chelsea manager’s record in Europe.“Mourinho talks a lot about a lot of people, but I prefer to talk about facts. "At Liverpool, with a squad half of the value of Chelsea, we twice knocked his Chelsea side out of the Champions League. "Later, with the most expensive squad at Real Madrid, he did nothing in the Champions League. Now he says if there is an offer of hundreds of millions for Hazard and Oscar, maybe he can build a strong squad to win something." |

Seeing this article. I fit swear say dis 2 men no dey see eye 2 eye real life. Jose Mourinho has certainly got the better of Arsene Wenger over the years, with the Chelsea manager boasting an unbeaten record against the Arsenal boss over 12 matches, winning seven and drawing five. But when it comes to the verbal slanging match and even the pushing and shoving, Wenger has been determined to give us as good as he gets.I don't see especially that Chelsea play more English players than we do. Who have they produced, homegrown? Just one, John Terry.” – Wenger in 2005 when quizzed on Arsenal’s all-foreign line-up. At the beginning of the following season in August 2005, Wenger also expressed concerns over Chelsea’s tactics: “I know we live in a world where we have only winners and losers, but once a sport encourages teams who refuse to take the initiative, the sport is in danger.” Mourinho was unimpressed. “Wenger has a real problem with us and I think he is what you call in England a Viewer. He likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have a big telescope to see what happens in other families. Wenger must be one of them – it is a sickness. He speaks, speaks, speaks about Chelsea.” Wenger has a real problem with us and I think he is what you call in England a Viewer. He is someone who likes to watch other people. Mourinho on Wenger Wenger responded with a put-down of his own. “He’s out of order, disconnected with reality and disrespectful. When you give success to stupid people, it makes them more stupid sometimes and not more intelligent.” And more from Mourinho… “At Stamford Bridge, we have a file of quotes from Mr Wenger about Chelsea football club in the last 12 months – it is not a file of five pages. It is a file of 120 pages.” Jose Mourinho has certainly got the better of Arsene Wenger over the years, with the Chelsea manager boasting an unbeaten record against the Arsenal boss over 12 matches, winning seven and drawing five. It is a file of 120 pages.” When Mourinho departed Chelsea in September 2007, the rivalry was put on hold but that didn’t stop the pair trading criticism of each other from further afield. “The English like statistics a lot,” said Mourinho in 2008. “Do they know that Arsene Wenger has only 50 per cent of wins in the English league?” When Mourinho was in charge at Real Madrid and Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos got booked for tactical reasons against Galatasaray in order to serve suspensions for a comfortable second leg rather than risk missing important games later in the tournament, Wenger had plenty to say. “When you see how it looks on television it is the best demonstration to think: ‘Never do that again’. It looks, frankly, horrible. It’s a pity to see that from a big club.” Again, it only succeeded in sparking a fiery response from Mourinho… “Instead of speaking about Real Madrid, Mr Wenger should speak about Arsenal and explain how he lost 2-0 against a team in the Champions League for the first time. The history about the young kids is getting old now. Sagna, Clichy, Walcott, Fabregas, Song, Nasri, Van Persie, Arshavin are not kids. They are all top players.” After a cordial start upon Mourinho’s return Chelsea, Wenger was unimpressed when Juan Mata was sold to Manchester United – a move that he argued could distort the league table given that the Blues had played their final game against United the previous week while rivals still had to play them. “Chelsea have already played twice against Man United, they could have sold him last week. I think if you want to respect the fairness for everybody, this should not happen.” And the response… “Wenger complaining is normal because he always does. Normally he should be happy that Chelsea sold a player like Juan Mata, but this is a little bit his nature. I think what is not fair is that his team always has the best days to play.” He’s out of order, disconnected with reality and disrespectful. When you give success to stupid people, it makes them more stupid sometimes and not more intelligent. Wenger on Mourinho In February 2014, just a few weeks later, Wenger was asked why some of Arsenal’s fellow title hopefuls were so keen to downplay their ambitions. “It is fear to fail,” he said. Mourinho delivered a memorable monologue in reply. “Am I afraid of failure? He is a specialist in failure. I’m not. So if one supposes he’s right and I’m afraid of failure, it’s because I don’t fail many times. So maybe he’s right. I’m not used to failing. But the reality is he’s a specialist because, eight years without a piece of silverware, that’s failure.” After a decade of verbal insults, the rivalry finally escalated physically in October 2014 when Wenger shoved Mourinho during an argument on the touchline at Stamford Bridge. “In hindsight I think I should not have reacted at all,” said Wenger. “It’s not a way to behave on a football field. Did Mourinho provoke me? That is how I felt. I did not enter Chelsea’s technical area.” And when it was suggested to Mourinho that his Arsenal counterpart could be charged… “Charged? If it was me it would have been a stadium ban.” |
