hmmmmmmm?.......but they should hand over to their children or any dependable relative even educational management consultant to help run the school for them nah!......women sef!

Their children may not be in the educational line or the children may be too successful that the profit from school business may be too small to them. As per educational consultants getting into a business partnership with the present crop of young Nigerians, may be very dangerous to your wealth and health.

NB, the mother of the Vice President in person of Mrs Osinbajo has a successful school in Obanikoro area of Lagos which she has bequethed to the Anglican Communion.

I must appreciate the effort of the people behind this thread,you guys are doing a great job.I used to be an observer of the topics being discussed and going through job adverts until recently when I decided to join.I am happy to give feedback that I've been employed in one of the schools advertised here.I did the job interview in April but was told they would get back to me and they did got back to me to come for the second interview,God made me scale through and I join their work force fully yesteday,29th July.I must not forget to add that I also went for job interview in a school at Ifo around early July,the owner of the school is kind and caring,he told me to resume in August,it was on my way home from ifo that I got the text to come for 2nd interview at Ikeja,like I said earlier God made me got the job.It is more juicier than Ifo and so many things to learn there to help my career.I don't know how to drop the bombshell to the people at ifo that I will no longer resume with them.I don't want to hurt the proprietor cos he is very kind.And my career is also important to me.
Answer the following;
1. Is the school at Ikeja close to you?
2. Career or money?

A monicker asked the question below.

What is the different between lesson note and lesson plan?

Both provide information about a lesson that has been, or will be, delivered by a teacher to a class. A "lesson note" suggests something much less formal, detailed or systematic than a "lesson plan", which is often compiled strictly according to a required format.

Lesson note:
It may be:
* a brief summary of a lesson in a teacher's planner/diary;
* a short evaluation of a lesson by the teacher who delivered it or by another adult who observed it;
* a message reminding a teacher to revisit some issue in a future lesson;
* a list of activities to be set by a substitute teacher to be done by a class whose normal teacher is absent;
* a teacher's worksheet to be monitored by a senior colleague, listing subject-matter covered by the teacher with a class on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Lesson plan:
While there are many formats for a lesson plan, most lesson plans contain some or all of these elements, typically in this order:
* Title of the lesson
* Time required to complete the lesson
* List of required materials
* List of objectives, which may be behavioral objectives (what the student can do at lesson completion) or knowledge objectives (what the student knows at lesson completion)
* The set (or lead-in, or bridge-in) that focuses students on the lesson's skills or concepts—these include showing pictures or models, asking leading questions, or reviewing previous lessons
* An instructional component that describes the sequence of events that make up the lesson, including the teacher's instructional input and guided practice the students use to try new skills or work with new ideas
* Independent practice that allows students to extend skills or knowledge on their own
* A summary, where the teacher wraps up the discussion and answers questions
* An evaluation component, a test for mastery of the instructed skills or concepts—such as a set of questions to answer or a set of instructions to follow
* A risk assessment where the lesson's risks and the steps taken to minimize them are documented.
* Analysis component the teacher uses to reflect on the lesson itself —such as what worked, what needs improving
* A continuity component reviews and reflects on content from the previous lesson

One day, a teacher asked his student “What are you going to do with your life?” The student was stunned for he loved this teacher and admired him. He had never felt such pressure from his teacher before. Stammering, this man replied, “I don’t know. Finish my studies and get a good job, I suppose"
“Get a good job,” his teacher repeated. “This is a phrase I have often heard. It is the single worst choice of your generation. Happiness is unlikely to come to the mind whose goal is to ‘get a good job.’” “Son,” this wise teacher asked, “Would you be interested in some specific advice from an old man who wished he had your youth and energy?”
“Of course, Doctor.”
“Look around you. Take a fresh, hard, and uncompromising look at life as you see it. Ask this question, ‘What needs to be done?’ When you have an answer, and it may take some time to get it, then go and do what needs to be done. Do it better than anyone else does it and the world will beat down your door for your help. Then you will not need ‘a good job’; and you will have more than a career.
You will have a mission.”

Many times, we focus on "getting a good job" and then when we get that job, we get disillusioned and want something "better".. Take the advise of this wise teacher (who, by the way, was the famous inventor, Buckminster Fuller) and really, "jobs" will come looking for you! But take heed... we need to all find the balance between AMBITION and CONTENTMENT

Xtfield, Manie and bettydee- would soon open her school. Tenderlyme, you can, should would, will, shall and definitely make it. Don't let failure deter you.

Wish everyone the very best...

Wish everyone the very best...

lol, Amen to that madam artisticallyart. Really, we should always think about impactation and not just how much we could earn(though more goes with it also). when you find that need that is to be filled and you fill it with all that is in you, the world will be at your finger tips.

The greatest inventors and entrepreneurs in the world did not get it at the beginning, finish what you have started. I know you are good with kids. Remember, we went to school to create jobs and not be jib seekers. I doff my heart for you for taking such step. Tenderlyme......... If you don't succeed, dust yourself and try again, try again, try again- Aliyah.
I think she should have been an intern in a day care or worked in a day care to understand its operations.
