Why Oshiomole And Mrs Duke Abiola Shouldn't Be Taken Serious (UPDATED) by Nobody: 11:17am On Aug 01, 2015 |
This piece is motivated by the alleged "whisper" told by some ghost officials of the USA to Governor Adams Oshiomole and one Mrs Duke Zainab Abiola, his co-traveller. Here are reasons why Oshiomole and his co-traveller shouldn't be taken serious. 1. Contradiction in Figure: Adams Oshiomole $6 billion... “The PDP destroyed the country. I mean from the lips of American officials; senior officials of the State Department said one minister under PDP cornered as much as $6billion." www.punchng.com/news/us-officials-say-jonathans-minister-stole-6bn-oshiomhole Mrs Zainab Abiola $9 billion... “According to the information available to us, the minister stole more than $9billion; not Australian dollars, but US dollars... Oshiomhole said it’s about $6 billion. Information available to me states that the minister and her associates siphoned away $9.3 billion. I’m watching the game that they’re playing. If they don’t publish the evidence, I have document to support this,” http://www.dailypost.ng/2015/07/31/9-3b-not-6b-was-stolen-by-jonathans-minister-duke-abiola/ It is very funny when USA senior officials tell two people different things on a single issue. Hint: Falsehood is usually contradicting. Truth is unanimous. 2. USA Engaging Third World non-State Officials In Gossips: It is insane that a country like the United States will resort to engaging non-federal Nigeria officials in gossips. Oshiomole is not the Justice Minister of Nigeria, he's not the Finance Minister, and also not the Chairperson of Economic Financial Crime Commission. He isn't even a federal official of any kind. So in what capacity was he and his co-traveller told? What exactly will be the objective? For the record, the normal policy of the United States when then discovers looted fund is to freeze the account FIRST and then move to prosecute the suspect. If the suspect lives abroad, they usually seek for him/her to be extradited to the State to face prosecution. All these are not done in secrecy but in the open. Why is the case of a "common" minister in a third world country different? Hint: Falsehood defies common sense. 3. The Disjointed Claims of Mrs Zainab Abiola: "If they don’t publish the evidence, I have document to support this,” That was Mrs Duke Zainab Abiola "claiming" that she has evidence to support her claims, yet she didn't show a copy of the so-called evidence to the Nations Newspaper that conducted the interview. She then made herself look silly with this line... “If Buhari is not sure of his fact and figures, he should go back to Washington DC." Why should Buhari go back to Washington Dc when she is in possession of the evidence? Why can't she handover this document (evidence) to Buhari that she claims to have to nail GEJ and the Minister once and for all? Hint: Propagators of falsehood make themselves appear stupid. 4. Are They Afraid of Forgery and Libel Suits?: Wonder why Oshiomole and his co-traveller refused to mention any name? Here is why... Oshiomole and his co-traveller are aware that the United States and her citizens don't take lightly when it comes to forgery and libel. They know that producing any document will amount to forgery IF it isn't from the US State Department, which is a criminal offence. They also know that lying with the name of any USA official will fetch them lawsuit. For fear of lawsuits, Oshiomole "smartly" said "he was told", while his co-traveller said she has evidence without producing the evidence. We are waiting for them to take the BOLD STEP! Hint: Figure this yourself Update: Oshiomole's Allegation Refuted By US Embassy and Buhari (Aug 8, 2015): I remember coming under attack by some APC fans after I wrote the article. I am glad that the US Embassy and President Buhari has come out to refute the allegation though we expected them to do this earlier. In their own words; “I have no knowledge of the list you are talking about so I can neither confirm its authenticity nor those listed therein,” (Femi Adesina) “Though President Buhari engaged in discussions on various issues with the US President Barack Obama, there was no exchange of documents between them.” (US Embassy) http://www.punchng.com/news/us-yet-to-give-buhari-oil-thieves-list/ I assure Ngerians that the era of baseless allegations died in May 29, 2015. God Bless Us All! 37 Likes 7 Shares |
