mirenda:You have 30 days from the date you submit your application online to provide your biometrics at a CVAC or VFS office. If you read your biometrics letter thoroughly the exact date the 30 days will elapse is stated on it. 2 Likes |

Good news at last!!!!! I can't thank God enough! After getting med. Call on the dreaded 3rd of July. This is the hand of God!!!!! Submitted: May 19, 2015 Medical request: July 03, 2015 Medical passed: July 10, 2015 Application Approved: July ??(didn't get an approval mail) Passport collected: July 30, 2015 Documents submitted: All CIC forms and requirements including; confirmation letter from the institution, IMM1294E, IMM5645E, passport. 1. Proof of finance: (sponsor's) bank statements, notarized letter of sponsorship, company registration documents, landed documents. 2. Letter of explanation, WAEC results, degree certificates and transcripts, birth certificate, CV, proof of national service completion, study leave letter and letter of introduction of dad's company(didn't state my salary). I didn't submit my pay slip or SOA, or pay tuition. As regards this JULY 3rd issue, I don't think it was a system error, I would rather agree slightly with the people who said superior officers reviewed the apps, the visa was issued on the 13th of july while the POE letter also had the same date and the passport only got dispatched on the 22nd of july. All I could see is GRACE GRACE and more of God's GRACE!!!!! Although I'm a silent follower and have never asked question I came here weneva I needed help and got very useful answers. You guys have no idea how many lives u have impacted with your contributions, the massive followership this thread enjoys is no fluke!! U guys have been really helpful. I can't evn start to mention names. Its a big happy family!!! Thank you all, thank you! 15 Likes 1 Share |

berexio1: I have stated my opinion and it still remains that the agent processed her admission to the school and did all the necessary things for her to get her TRV to study in that school knowing that (s)he gets some commission from the money the student pays in tuition. I do not think they had any arrangement that she can change schools once her TRV is approved thus, your last sentence to me is not relevant here. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by GboyegaD(m): 11:06pm On Aug 01, 2015 |
badtsharpguy: You don't have to bother too much as the rates will be uniform depending on who the card service (Mastercard or Visacard) is because they have their exchange rate channeled in line for the official exchange rate of each country. |

badtsharpguy:The exchange rate of Naira to Canadian Dollars, US Dollars, GBP, Euro etc are determined by market forces on a daily basis which greatly influences what Mastercard or Visa or American Express etc will in turn use to determine the exchange rate for the day. So when you use your Visa or Mastercard on an ATM abroad three things are applicable. 1. The exchange rate for the day as set by Mastercard or Visa 2. The minimum currency conversion rate/charge of 2.5% 3. The ATM international withdrawal charges. Please Note that 1,2 and 3 are subject to change at any time but 2 and 3 are determined by the bank which issued your Visa or Mastercard and varies from one bank to another. So if I make a withdrawal in Canada with Diamond Bank Visa card as an instance. 1 - Will be determined by Visa 2 - Will be 8% (as stated in the last newsletter i recieved from Diamond Bank) 3 - Will be NGN 240. Finding out the currency conversion rate is always tricky as not all Nigerian Banks state what it is. It is only Diamond that has so far informed me of the increase from 2.5% to 4.5% and then from 4.5% to 8% via it's newsletter other banks i use did not say a word. So best stick with either Stanbic or Diamond as they have favourable currency conversion rates for now. 3 Likes |

favour0011: He is very correct...that will amount to misconduct on his part..he is just an employee and he should not conduct his personal business (sponsoring you is his personal affair)using his employer's letter head. He should write his letter on a plan paper and he can notarize it... if you are concern about the authenticity. |

Your application is not validly / completely submitted yet until you do biometric. Run, Run, Run. Time is not your friend. You should have considered upfront medical too if it for September admission mirenda: |

If the company isn't his, then he cannot write a sponsorship letter on his company letter head because the letter head means that the letter is from from the company which is not because it is not his company. In your case, the only document that should be letterheaded is one that is from the company as an entity to use to introduce your uncle as a staff of the company. So that one should be on letterheaded paper. I hope it's clear. These are important details favour0011: |

@badtsharpguy Diamond Bank Naira Visa Debit for Intl transactions: ATM withdrawal charge: N240 POS and online: Free Annual service fee: N100 POS Cash Advance: N750 ATM Daily Limit: $300 POS Daily Limit: $10,000 (20 times) Web Daily Limit: $5,000 (5 times) Annual Spend Limit: $50,000 (@Chars1289, I believe the location has some effect on the commission because atm withdrawal for GT in Canada is about N450 while it's N1,000 in the UK Chars1289: 1 Like 1 Share |

Your own biometric and medical limit is specific to you. Some people have 14 days, some 28 days, others 30 days. It depends on what your biometrics letter says. mirenda: 1 Like |
