You are welcome. By the way, if you're going to use the word "nigger", you should spell it as "nigga". I have an extreme aversion to both words but can at least tolerate the latter. Also, in some quarters in the US and likely Canada, both words (particularly the former) are considered to be extremely offensive (by black people as well, especially the well educated). The guy stated that someone contacted him because the PGD program he applied to was full. Even though the school has the policy in the email you just shared, this doesn't mean that what michaelfinn stated couldnt be true. Typically most programs don't promise you admission before you apply. The best you are likely to get, if you initiate interaction with the program, is that they will evaluate your application and not automatically decline you. The objective of your inquiry is to see if your 2:2 CGPA will not be an automatic reason for refusal. But they generally can't promise anything beyond that, unless you already applied and they like what you submitted. hayqinsbFX: 2 Likes |

@MichaelFinn, the information you provided is immensely helpful to current and future readers of this thread. @HayqinsbFX, if you read the email sent to MichalFinn, the admissions coordinator did not promise him admission to the program. They only suggested he apply which he did. If you are curious, I would suggest you put your skin in the game by applying. |
