shocked you can lift your luggage up to your chest? You must be a strong man. Lol when are you leaving?
Gu2015:
u climb on a body weight scale alone, note ur weight then u climb on the scale again with the box on ur chest, then u minus ur oringal weight from ur weight with the box.the figure who get is the weight of d box.not too perfect but......it usually not less dan 1kg wit airport scale....hope dis helps grin

There are little luggage scales. Ask any frequent traveller around you for one. Trust me you don't want to be looking for what to take out of your box at the airport if it's overweight. If the limit is 23kg, you can leave it at about 24kg some people even get away with 25kg

Air France allowed 2 bags of 23kG each, what if I'm carrying one around 39kg (23+23) shey na same thing??

Why not drop the box on the scale instead of carrying it on your chest and climbing, Lol grin

Hello house, please if my parent are not my sponsor do I need a consent letter from my parents stating they consent my aunt shld/can sponsor me?
Adults (18+) do not need a consent letter from their parents. However, if you are less then 18 you are considered a minor and need one. As your aunt is sponsoring you and not your parents implore her to explain why she is sponsoring you and state exactly how much she will make available to you for your studies and upkeep in her sponsorship letter as well as showing a bank statement + assets which covers your total costs + extra to meet her own personal needs.

it is not same thing bruv. Each bag has to weigh 23kg or less. If it is over 23kg in a bag get another bag and transfer some items into it and ensure it weighs same as stated above.

apart from the weight of the luggage is there a maximum size for luggage length?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 8:54am On Aug 09, 2015
Ahhh it's not the same oh. You have to separate them.

Lol it won't be accurate unless you use a luggage/travel scale

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 9:00am On Aug 09, 2015
Yes there are size restrictions, different airlines have different restrictions especially for hand luggages. Normal luggages hardly ever exceed the maximums anyway so don't worry about that. You can check http://wikitravel.org/en/Airline_baggage to know if your airline has such restrictions

A well calibrated weight scale will do just fine, allow for 1-2kg off what you get from the weight scale, only bring things you think you'll actually use in Canada and not just about everything in your room + some naija food items. regardless of what you bring with you, note that shopping in Canada for some items is inevitable and you will still need to do that at some point.

I am new here, got admitted to algonquin college, I applied for my TRV in 2012 but was refused based on finance, I reapplied in June and was refused based on the fact that the consular was not convinced I will return after my study and also that I didn't state I was initially refused. I just came across this thread and would like to learn more as I plan to reapply by month end as I was told I can reapply if able to address the reasons for refusal as indicated. Could anyway be of help?

You can start by stating documents used in both refused applications. I am sure helpful peeps would like to know why you did not indicate your UCI number and refusal reasons from your prior application in the most recent application.

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 11:59am On Aug 09, 2015
Sure, you can still take a small box as hand luggage with your laptop bag if you want. Or a backpack

Hian! Send whatever he has na, if he has all, send all. If he has only 1, send it. What's the confusion here? If he doesn't have a birth certificate, he should get an affidavit. He shouldn't waste time with this
thanks a lot for your reply, he waited years for it so he's just trying to be extra careful since he doesn't have all the documents requested. But will send the one's with him asap thanks again for ur reply

Good morning Gud people.... pls assist with my concerns below. I have over 8 yrs working experience in Marketing Management and an Mba degree in Marketing management plus Bsc same field. What are my chances of gettin a canadian visa approved if i apply a 1year certificate program in same field (Business admin - Marketing management) in a canadian university and back it up with a 1year study leave letter from my current employer.
Also, are certificates programs higher than Diploma or pgd? Becos in this case the university's requirement is a graduate degree, unlike in diploma where the requirment is post secondary school degree.
Thanks all.

Hello bosses in the house.

My cousin made an error application form.
Her mother is her sponsor.

All documents carried her mum name including bank statement and letter of attestation and sponsor letter. Her dad also submitted same as second sponsor though her had seperate some years back.

Inside the family form she mistakenly wrote her step mum name in place of her mother and she never mentioned she had any step mum on the rest of the documents.

It was after submission infact on the day of her biometric that I gone through her documents and spotted that error please house could this affect her application in any way?

Please we need your advice house.

God bless you in advance as you help out a soul.

Thanks

New information cannot be added after submission except a VO requests for additional information from you, a VO would definitely wonder how you can forget to state your mother's name who is infact sponsoring you on the family form and name someone else (stepmother) it is rather odd and brings doubt as to the veracity of her claims as the sponsor being her real mother. You can only pray the VO has an open mind and if need be ask for clarification (eg Birth Certificate) or the mother's documents included with the application would adequately communicate that she is indeed her mother.

Just 6 and half weeks. Stop stressing yourself. Some people are in their 9th week. All you can do is wait

The present trend seem to indicate CIC Accra is prioritising study permit applications for resumption in universities at the moment whilst a lot of college applicants are yet to be decided for now, whichever of the above you may be, i urge you to remain patient still. The worse case scenerio is that if your application is not processed in time for september resumption because of no late resumption in your school, it will be processed for january resumption and you may (or may not ) be asked for an updated admissions letter from your school.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by expertman(m): 4:10pm On Aug 09, 2015
Thanks Bro. I really appreciate so we should just forget about the whole application? She submitted 3 sponsors though.

Which are Uncle,mother and father.

We have been on fasting and prayer since then.
