Gentlesniper: Please always comment with enough knowledge on a topic.... This is the International standard of AWOL regulations and punishment... PLEASE CLEAR YOUR IGNORANCE... Thanks. usmilitary.about.com/od/justicelawlegislation/a/awol6.htm Article 85 - Desertion. This is the most serious of the absentee offenses. Remember the primary difference between AWOL and desertion is intent to remain away from the military permanently. • (1) If a member deserted, but voluntarily returned to military control: Dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, reduction to the lowest enlisted grade, and confinement for 2 years. (2) If the member deserted and the desertion was terminated by apprehension: Dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, reduction to the lowest enlisted grade, and confinement for 3 years. (3) If the member deserted with the intent to avoid hazardous duty or to shirk important service (and example of this would be a member ordered to deploy to Iraq and then deserts to avoid the deployment): Dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, reduction to the lowest enlisted grade, and confinement for 5 years. (4) If the member deserts during time of war: Death or such other punishment (such as life in prison) as a court-martial may direct. |

There is no where in the Nigerian Military where this will be don e to a soldier by his Superiors. Nowhere. Only physical punishment and not this. OP, get your facts right. |

blublahd:.am very sure,he must be(POW)prisoner of war,in their bush camp.this punishment will make him take everything serious during the real war.because if he eventualy fall to enemy hand as 'POW' he will surfer more than this.you pple should stop sayin rubbish,if you don't know ask, rather than open your gutter and saying rubbish. |

kannymoore: The best Military around the world undergo rigorous training that push their body to the limit, it is more or less a workout on the extreme side, this picture right here is pure nonsense, purposefully inflicting arm and bringing dis-figuration to the body is madness, what is this preparing them for? I guess to be captured by Enemies and tortured? |
Re: Nigerian Military Design The Back Of An Army ( Photo ) by tevinsolt: 12:52pm On Aug 09, 2015 |
emeraldo56:have a sit, it is abuse. Training should be about physical endurance, and upping other combat skills, not beatings that train you up for being captured by the enemies for torture, even Enemies don't torture anymore, it's either you die or you are imprisoned. |
Re: Nigerian Military Design The Back Of An Army ( Photo ) by Nobody: 12:53pm On Aug 09, 2015 |
merits:Are you mad? Didn't you read what the OP stated? |
Re: Nigerian Military Design The Back Of An Army ( Photo ) by uchwar1: 12:56pm On Aug 09, 2015 |
Freemanan:I understand u nw. Just that he was beaten and that makes him an impostor. Probably, he was caught robbing with military uniform. Foward rolling alone cannot give him those wounds |

whirlwind7: As far as am concerned this punishment is too ............childish. This is not how the military should discipline their men.A military mind is a disciplined mind.physical and mental torture is the best:;this will enable them to withstand any form of torture from their enemies should they fall into their hands. By you comment, you clearly dont know about military. If this guy tries what ever rubbish in countries like china or Russia,he will understand his mistake. |
Re: Nigerian Military Design The Back Of An Army ( Photo ) by ManTiger(m): 1:10pm On Aug 09, 2015 |
When you whip a man like this in the name of discipline and you expect same man to discipline civilian in a corporal way? What happens to punishment! |
