Busquets is the one that covers the azzez of Xavi and Iniesta. These are players that can't tackle or stop a counter attack. Busquets has done that times without number.

Pique is not the best defender in the world, Valdes is not the best keeper either. Busquets is one of the main reasons Barcelona concede the fewest number of goals in Europe.

How can Busquet cover Xavi's and Iniesta's asses when the duo are hardly lost in the middle of the park or even when the duo are very much involved in Barca's defending which starts right from their opposition's half?

Whilst your deep line placed defence snuffs out the danger in the box, your 'reliable mad' DM would have to do well to break up play and stop the trio from shooting from range.

This is just my common sense and tactical knowledge at work in a dull Tuesday nite though.

Busquets came in 08/09 as a 20yr old and got 2,900mins, Yaya in that same season got 3,300mins (Yaya got 400mins more than Busquets) thats a rookie in his first senior year

Look at those minutes in the picture below and see the number of games Yaya sat on the bench for a full 90mins, see how Yaya played in his last Barca minutes he was getting used as a time wasting option when games was going towards the end like Mikel Obi plays nowadays
