Good morning folks, my transcript as promised

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning
VO: Pls pass your documents and passport, (the guy is full bearded with an Indian accent, good looking too but hin don marry sha grin)
Me: I passed the docs
VO: Yes... So tell me why you chose the university of Texas for your public health degree
Me: It's one of the cheapest among other schools bla bla ...., and being located in the Texas medical center which is the largest medical complex in the world I'll have various opportunities for research....
VO: So what prior experience (or I think he said knowledge) do you have in public health
Me: My first degree was medicine and surgery, so I did some basic courses in public health in my final year (the guy they knod..) and I conducted a research during my final year about the knowledge of the bla bla bla... where I saw that their knowledge about the disease was very low and I gave recommendations to the dept. (While I was waiting on the queue for my interview I suddenly had an impression to remind myself of my final year project topic, which I did)
VO: I heard u say Surgery
Me: Yes I read medicine and surgery
VO: Tell me more abt it
Me: I'm a medical doctor, so I treat patients...bla bla bla(I sha tell am wetin medical doctor dey do)
VO: Ok your visa have been approved, ...( didn't hear the rest of what he said)
Me: wow....thank you

No other documents asked, no SOA, no question abt my sponsor etc.
(While I was answering his first question, unconsciously I wasn't looking at him. but I quickly rem what people said on this thread abt being confident and looking at the VO's face while talking. I turned to him sharp sharp, eyeball to eyeball cheesy. I think doing so helps your confidence level well.)

I give glory to God for favour and His faithfulness... He is awesome. Thanks to everyone that has responded to questions and given quality info on this thread. God bless you all.

And pls.... avoid those touts at the consular car park trying to get you to staple your passport photograph on your ds-160. You don't need to staple anything not even the docs together..!!

On a Scale of applying for a Visa 10 times, You will get the visa 9 times, This shouldnt be a testimony, we need men and women who used nothing to get something, Thats motivation, it is mediocre to say "a bird can fly" a bird should fly, Christ!!!

To pursue a master degree in engineering technology. A master degree in engineering technology will equip me with the technical skills required to maintain, operate, coordinate n supervise in a production system which in turn will make me a valuable asset n I will have edge when applying for managerial positions in multinational companies like chevron shell Mobil by the time I return to Nigeria(she was nodding)

okay, why etsu?

I choose etsu because the curriculum explores the technologies found in our industrial society such as implementation and utilization of adaptive system (okay n keeps nodding)n other technical means. there's currently a research which aligns with my career which is the investigation into the effect of recycled concrete aggregate strength on d strength of concrete using it(OK n she keeps nodding) and its currently chaired by professor Johnson kieth in the faculty of technology. LagosNIV said it earlier that when he does something that contravenes the US immigration law (LagosNIV stated as ineligibility in the law).

It will cost you nothing to show some respect to VOs who came here to help clear up rumours and misconceptions about U.S visa application.

You can disagree with somebody without coming out rude and hostile with your replies.

I don't care how angry you are..just don't do it.

Thank you.

GTBank started giving out BTA and PTA on Monday 10th but the unfortunate thing is that the bank sells only to current account holders(not savings). I couldn't get to buy from my other banks either(Diamond, Access). Had to open a new account with First Bank on Tuesday 11th and within an hour, I got USD4k as PTA at very reasonable fee. Was charged additional NGN8400 which makes the total NGN808,400 for USD4000

must one have a return ticket? First Bank branches have been denying me oo due to my one way tickethe
Do u know any branch that accept one way? ?
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by ddbluv: 1:15pm On Aug 13, 2015
I traveled this last wkend without obtaining PTA due to all banks non participation.
Is it still possible to file for PTA with my past travel receipt.
GTB told me if I use POS it will be close to CNN rate but what I've been seeing is aboki rate of N225. Am really pissed off & I hrd if I withdraw, it'll be worse than this.

Why not present a copy of your I-20 like someone earlier did? I accompanied my boss who's travelling on Business to those banks I mentioned. He had a return ticket though. I am not travelling yet.

It's been very challenging getting money from Nig.

You said $100. Did you try to go above $300?

Has any one used Cashier's cheque of late to purchase above $500 from a naira account? Seems it's the only option left at $4 per transaction

Sorry to interject but did you purchase above $300? because I tried $800 and it was declined when I have well about N50000 in the account. I bought money order all through last year but lately I haven't been able to do it
