hello guyz...i need your help,i am so much interested in studying in Canada and presently I am studying in Germany. Germany is very cool but the language barrier is to much and they are not very open kin of people. So i need to move to Canada where I can get four years of study and postgraduate visa to work after study. What I do not know now is that will it be necessary for me to come to naija to apply for the visa or take the visa from here. Does anyone know any Nigerian that applied for visa from Germany or outside Nigeria and what was the outcome? Hope to read from you soonest. Regards |

justwise: Sir,canada need us,we also need them. Who need each other more? why they need us.... >more workers >more young people energizing the economy >a greater domestic market >an absolutely larger number of outstanding, highly effective people( the US use this to their advantage) >greater economies of scale (less cost in production per unit with increase of volume) >attracting investors and multinational companies >stimulating investment in knowledge >generating more new ideas which improve productivity >market size stimulates innovative activity >increasing learning-by-doing due to pressures of increased production volume >increased consumption driving manufacturing and services >increased national savings >a big home market that is an attractive prize for successful new products Justwise, did you listen to what obama said on the immigrants in the USA. Do you know that he is offering them rights, benefits and protections? He is doing this because he knows their eventual importance in the economy of the country. With these immigrants, the US will have more workers, more young people energizing the economy and greater number of highly effective people. Why we need canada...... Better education More opportunities what else oooo 3 Likes |

@avalon316 Defnintely not just Nigerians do it. But u and I agree if there was going to be a statistics of the country with more defaulters Nigeria wouldn't be on the favourable side. The better immigrants are even the ones that defer to a later date to eventually go to school. Some don't even go to school atall after getting into the country on a study visa. Canada needs people YES! But they frown at insincerity and criminality. If you want to go and study! Fine, apply for a study permit and make sure u go to school. If you want to immigrate get into EE and immigrate. Don't try to by pass the system by faking study intentions just to get into the country. If the work permit is removed while you study, that way you have filtered anyone who fakes study intentions and intends to get into the country to make a living |

hayqinsbFX: Of course miscreants make life harder on everybody, and when policies are formulated it affects everyone. i have genuinely sort to study in Canada because i wanted a breach between theory and hands on practical in world class scenario. and also the 4-months co-op + 3yrs PGWP which would be a boost to relevant work experience. Even Oga Justwise told me that i had no funds to finance my education the first time i was refused, now i have shown how prepared i am CIC probably wants me to take Msc against my will. 2 Likes |

LOL... Thanks for your honesty... Nobody on this thread can tell me they intend coming back after their schooling..Maybe one or two... Some that boast and say they will, end up not coming back once they set foot in obodo Oyinbo. As for defaulters, where do you put Indians and Mexicans? Naija na learner besides those people... I understand your frustration @Hayqin, but believe me, every application is treated individually... Unfortunately, the VOs sometimes can't tell those who are genuine.. @Thesoj, congrats to your Sis!! sending you PM later in the day! Avalon316: 1 Like |

I'm not talking about staying back here and that is not what canada is frowning at. If it was they would remove PGwP or PR easily. They just want to make sure evey student coming in has genuine study intentions that's all. If u. Read some GCmS they wud say they ain't convinced the Pa is a bonafide student with genuine study intentions. Besides you can't talk about me that way, you're wrong. When u say 90percent....its alarming and it shows the kind of people you surround yourself with. Some of my friend that got their study permit didn't even know there's a work permit inclusive or they cud work talkless of dem knowing about PGwP or PR They only applied to canada cos of the hype in the country and dey didn't want USA as dey go dere too often already. hayqinsbFX:I just think this is post Canada refusal-syndrome. You were upbeat and optimistic up until yesterday and since then you've been posting all sorts and inadvertently placing blame on other Nigerians in diaspora who are all trying to make a better life for themselves why not channel all this energy towards re-applying, as for me Yes oo I am part of that 90% @avalon316 refers to and there is nothing wrong with it as the immigration laws make provisions for it and it is an open secret that the vast majority of applicants going to Canada wish to study and immigrate. A lot of people prefer Canada because though the tuition charged to international students is not cheap but some programs have co-op to get some valuable work experience and not to mention the PGWP as well as EE, after spending much on tuition fees i think people can choose to stay back or return home to Nigeria to work and it is entirely a personal decision which should be respected as the reasons behind it will vary for each individual. 18 Likes |

There's nothing nailing about that and this is no where near a post canada refusal syndrome. @coldasice007 It has not changed me a bit since yesterday Just pouring my mind after looking at d vast majority of people perfect and sincere app who were denied.. And besides I don't know where I was against going to imigrate to canada through studies as you have said. All I'm sayng is if you are going on a study permit make sure you study. Except you're planning to run away from studying after getting into canada I can't be against you and you're not among the Nigerians whose act have painted the country badly sholay2011: 2 Likes |

Akin, please let's all leave these arguments, it won't take us anywhere. If anyone wants to migrate tru travelling bag or dressing like a woman of study permit or EE, all roads lead to canny. Remain positive and optimistic. Try not to discourage others. The kind of SOA I see sometimes scare me. Cos if I got such, I won't bother about canny. Everyone wants greener pastures. In fact I want to increase the percentage to 95% of pple going to canny for school are using it to migrate joor. Your part time salary as a student pass masters degree full time worker in Nigeria. Abi I lie? hayqinsbFX: 6 Likes |

Well, you won't get what you stated down here from WES. Why? Mine, there is no single analysis of cGPA, just that my Nija degrees are recognised in Canada, just the equivalence of levels I suppose. NOTHING SPECIAL brodaly. It's early morning, dont let me comment on WES. If you want a copy of mine evaluation, I'll scan it to. Pls try to consider the last two years of your cGPA, that determine your admission. My last two years cGPA got me a thesis program NOT overall cGPA. All I said from experience. hayqinsbFX: |

[quote author=kunlelikeme post=36942448] You'll need to be in Nigeria to apply since you're Nigerian. I believe that's a part of CIC rules. But you can check CIC faqs to be certain. |

Okay brotherly Was just talking based on what I was told. Does that mean WES can't put u on a better standing than your cgpa in urNaija transcripts I would like to see an assessment of yours. BeulahHephziba: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 2:02pm On Aug 14, 2015 |
That's because you did the basic evaluation and not a course by course evaluation. If you had done that, your cgpa would have been revaluated as well so it'll show what it is on a 4point scale BeulahHephziba: |

TheBae: Hello TheBae, I can see you know so much about this WES evaluation. I did an evaluation on their website few months ago by inputting my courses and grades after which I got a result of my CGPA converted to 4.00. Could you please check the website and try inputting your grades to see if the outcome is the same as what you got after WES did your course by course evaluation? If it's the same then guyz in the house can try the website 1st b4 making any payment to WES. See below a screenshot of what I got back then although my CGPA was 4.10/5.00 and 4.54 /5.00 in my last 2yrz (if WES considers the last 2yrz tho) Thank you as u continue helping the house members. 1 Like

@hayqinsbFX: The CIC guys are simply unserious. You remember Team12 now, they gave Daughter / husband visa in addition to herself. She did not hide anything. Do they want her to return ?? They need her badly in their economy hence the multiple favour. On the other hand those they don't need because of over population of a given nationality the give mass denials. To them everything is their self benefit and they make those who they deny have a feeling of self guilt, self-pity or feel they are experiencing collateral damage occasioned by "bad" behavior of the country people. All na smokescreen . Remember also that the work permit is not issued until after full registration in school . Of what use is paying so much which you can not even earn in 3 or 4 months only to defer the admission. Do they differ tuition payment also along side the admission deferment ? If no, then what is the use of paying school fees / school registration which is a pre-requisite to work permit. ralfudoh: |
