elampiro: 5th best... Top 20... Looks like the CV of one desperately looking for something noteworthy to highlight as achievement. Anyway, I don't care for what he WAS or DID before... I care about what he IS and DOING now! |

dopeJemi: I decided never to argue Rooney this season. Throughout the summer I never talked about him in our preseason matches. It was only when somebody asked me what skills he possessed to play as a center forward that I responded. Funny enough, I did not even mentioned Rooney should play Centre Forward. They even forgot I was calling we buy a striker. I was resigned to see how everything plays out since Rooney himself said he will score 25 goals and lied on his own head he played sole striker in 2011/12. So I left him to his fate. But the problem is that they (Sinizia and co) keep calling me, tempting me to focus on Rooney. Now they have lured me back.... |

"Radio Marca reports that Nicolas Otamendi's departure from Valencia is 'imminent', with the signs pointing to Manchester City – rather than United – as the Argentine's destination". If this rumor becomes a reality,i dont know of any experienced CB that LVG can sign hence i will humbly concede this year's EPL title to City. |

Tvegas: If Otamendi goes to Citeh, we should forget about winning any spoon talk more of a cup. Blind can never be in the mold of Otamendi and other top tier defenders. |

Hmmmm.. Okay o. Let's watch the 20+ goals Rooney then. Let's see him come good. I can't wait to be proved wrong. Even if he can do it, a good coach would've still bought a hot striker to support Rooney. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 3:40pm On Aug 16, 2015 |
RuuDie: You no know ball well well. There two things to a player's ability. His skills and fitness. Same with a team. If your fitness is lacking, your ability will be affected. You see average teams beating top teams at the start of the season and even being in top three till November. This is because small teams work more on fitness during preseason. That is the only thing going for these players and clubs. So they work on it very hard. The good players usually rest very well during preseason haven played over 30 matches till May and national team games in June. So they resume the season with less fitness. Bulky players are also slow to hit full fitness. To cut a long story short, I think Rooney's fitness is about just 70% of what it should be. By September, before I can worry. |

sinizia: Every commentator including kids believe that we still need a CB and CF to have a full squad but i dont know whats difficult for LVG to grasp here? What happens when Smalling and our 20 goal fat striker picks up injury? The bench is so thin and lacks quality. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nobody: 3:49pm On Aug 16, 2015 |
elampiro:U obviously ve'nt watched the highlights of the match. Rooney was nowhere in the box the whole duration from when Mata passed and wen Januzaj scored |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 3:52pm On Aug 16, 2015 |
Tvegas: What happens if Fatso gets injured? I'll be the happiest nigga on earth just like when i heard the Jones' injury!! He's of no use to me, so he's better off injured once we get Pedro. That way other players will be given chance to shine instead of depending on an over-paid Fatso. |

Okay let's forget Rooney. Who is the realistic striker that should be bought? What is the budget? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Tvegas(m): 3:56pm On Aug 16, 2015 |
elampiro: With that fat salary he takes? . Make una dey fear God oooo. I heard Ronaldo organises personal/extra training for himself to sustain his top form. Cant rooney do thesame? The guy cant even control a pass,i mean control ordinary pass? Dia riz God o. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 4:07pm On Aug 16, 2015 |
AdeLaNa1: Confirmed. You guys see Rooney upside down. Rooney called for a pass from Januzaj before he (Januzaj) shot. Rooney was in a tap in position. Na you no see the highlight jor. If there was a rebound Rooney was on hand to tap in. .... Pic 1. Rooney between two defenders as Mata controlled. Pic 2. Rooney and Memphis watched the ball go into the net.

sinizia: You think you stand a chance of winning the title with Otamendi? You have not even prayed for 4th spot finish, you are talking about the title? Sheer audacity! Delusion.... wake up, you stand no chance of finishing in the top 3! |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 4:13pm On Aug 16, 2015 |
Tvegas: Rooney hired a personal trainer in summers of 2013 and 2014. This was the first time he had a real vacation in three years. Last season he played many matches, he was obviously tired before the season finished. He would have still trained but this was the shortest break I have seen in EPL. The league closed late in May and resumed first week of August. It's only sensible the players who had over 30 games rested well. EPL is very physical and long. Some players get tired before March. Tevez said this while at United. |

AdeLaNa1: From inbox to dribble. If you reversed Arguero and Costa roles in that first half, Costa would have a goal while Arguero would have no goal. This is because City is pressing and their team is more stable. Also Costa in City would have been more inside the box. Costa was virtually stranded in the first half and had to drop to midfield. But wait. Aguero dribbled four players? Na ur grandma black-and-white TV u dey use? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nobody: 5:14pm On Aug 16, 2015 |
elampiro:Bruh. Aside from the fact dat Rooney was rarely in the box, his controlling was poor against Villa. And yes Aguero was surrounded by 4 defenders in d build up to his goal. Abi na radio commentary u dey use follow d match?? |

Is Hazard even playing?? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 5:22pm On Aug 16, 2015 |
AdeLaNa1: From he was not in the box to rarely in the box. The truth is coming out now. You don't just sit in the box in football. Your team game determine where you will be Asta striker. Moreover, being always in the box means too you block the route to goal for other team mates. AdeLaNa1: From dribble to surrounded. You don't know the meaning of dribbling. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 5:23pm On Aug 16, 2015 |

Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nobody: 5:31pm On Aug 16, 2015 |
elampiro:Broda, no dey twist my words. I neva said Rooney wasn't in the box. My argument was he wasn't there to 'spear head the attack. He was always in the midfield'. Go check my previous posts elampiro:He was surrounded by four defenders wen he got the ball and dribnled past the first player(iThink Cahill) and he went on to score. Dats why i used the term literally. Or didn't u watch the analysis at HT ni?? |
