OP, though I don't see any markers to show that this is really PH Owerri Road, I do not doubt you.

I plied that route today to FUTO, though, I did not witness the bad part of the road. There are possibilities the carnage is further down the road.

Personally, what I observed in the villages/towns I've toured so far is that, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and his wife, with all due respect is running a government of BILBOCRACY - A government run on Super 48 sheet billboards, by the billboards, and - for the billboards.

Madame, I disagree with your comment. What will the OP gain in snapping a dilapidated road and say it's along a route you claimed it's not. Meanwhile she is not the first to call people's attention on the rugged state of the road as I have seen pictures of this same road been taken by my friends plying it few weeks back.

Meanwhile it's a federal road and it's time fed government look into this issue because it's a Show of shame.

Meanwhile "Bilbocracy". Lol that is the mentality of an African man. Him shake Obama, they pose billboard around the city like craze man grin grin

Kudos to Amaechi, he dualized the River State portion of the Road from Omagwa Airport to Imo State boundary.

Rochas should do the needful, he should forget about the trash called "Federal Road" we don't have Federal Citizen in Nigeria.

I find it difficult these days going to PH via this state. Anyways its their cup of tea in that state.

FG should consider doing a road directly from Onitsha-PH via Atani road to connect Ndoni in Rivers State.

***Copying pictures sharp sharp.. cheesy

And what has bill boards got to do with that eyesore of a federal road that we almost shedded blood asking the past administration of Jonathan to fix or atleast give a go ahead for Rochas to fix d road with Imo State's money? That road is a glaring definition of d evil dished out to Imolites by Jonathan and a vivid description of imbecility the so called PDP Leaders (Iwuanyanwu, Ihedioha, kema, Viola et al) in Imo State represent!

How can we keep suffering in the mist of plenty? Our leaders travel abroad everyday, why can't they borrow or maybe design a working template that will benefit Nigerians. Nigeria lacks infrastructures, lots of companies have gone moribund. There seems not to be light at the end of the tunnel, even if there is light, it is not illuminating. Very faint.

It saddens my heart to see our youths, and graduates pick up odd jobs in South Africa, risking it all to cross the Mediterranean sea just to have a feel of a greener field. A lots are still in war ravage countries like Libya, yet they prefer to still remain there. Will Nigeria ever get better again?

That portion of road is in Ohaji Egbema IMO state, not Rivers...
Its a smooth sailing the moment you get to the Boundary entering Rivers State.

Why are you calling Rochas is that not a federal road Gej claimed he built. please before you talk make your research well first.

Why is Igbo giving you guys nightmares? This topic is about a road in igbo land, has anyone blamed your Tinubu or obasanjo? You have brought your illiteracy and tribal bigotry.

I believe it is not only Tunde Bakare that saw an Igbo giant.

The Rochas Government has faired more than the 2 previous government in imo state. Achike and ohakim.
The road in question is a federal road, so I suggest you guys call GEJ your hero.
As for me, I've given up on Naija. On my way now to Woodstock Virginia, check out the road. So, I rather ply in this road [pictured after the cut] than that filthy pond called naija road.
