Only three operational F7s are currently deployed into COIN missions and because of their unreliability only Alpha jets are used for aerial bombing instead.

We have more than 10 jet qualified aircrew - last i checked it was over 60

Also, dont even try comparing training a crew/maintaining/operating a Gripen to such a pleb teir aircraft as the J7

Amateur what!! they came in 4 speed boats, there was an exchange of gunfire so anybody was bound to die... They usually have insiders or sponsors. It takes a lot of guts to go burst an oil pipeline especially close to a JTF base.. Our military is still powerful..

They are terrorists not militants.. You call them BH suspects, then why do they want to exchange their members in our prisons for the chibok girls..Last month they kidnapped over 100 in Cameroon they are their new recruits.. South-African systems are generally obsolete and are poorly manned.

Frigates = Obsolete( Technical details have been provided) and poorly manned.

Gripens = Chronic pilot shortage and lacking BVR capabilities

Tanks = World war 2 relics

IPVs/ MPVs = virtually non-existent

Subs = Poorly manned/ obsolete

Artillery = so few in numbers

Infantry = the oldest in the world/ poorly trained ( CAR perfect example)

Mokopa missiles = Broke and cannot afford it.

APCs = for a country that makes them, they have so few in service. Their troops, Special forces in the CAR lacked basic APCs.

Verdict : the South-African military is generally an ineffective poorly trained and inexperienced force.

Tanks = Majority of which are non operational, majority of which are utterly ancient. Their "new tanks" are obsolete T-72's... and as we know it, the T-72 is probably the worst tank in the world.

IPVs/MPV's = The only thing that is half decent in the Nigerian fleet (the rest of the fleet being either non-operational or having an average age of 44 years)

Subs = Nigeria has none and never will have any

Artillery = a hodge podge collection of artillery, the majority of which belongs in a museum (their D-30's were designed in 1963, their D-74's were designed in WW2) all of which is outranged by South African guns.

Air-defence = Nigeria has utterly obsolete air-defence systems, composed of Rolands with expired missiles and ancient MANPAD's. They have no mobile radars, no combat managment systems and no datalink intergration

Infantry = Your infantry equal so much i am going to make a list
- Ill diciplined rabble (Shooting at officers, raiding friendly towns, getting drunk on the frontline (Vice), going AWOL so they can visit brothrels behind the frontline, selling weapons to BH)
- Zero moral (over 400 fled into cameroon, multiple instances of soldiers retreating "without even firing a shot", Army Cheifs admit that for Nigeria "desertion is a normal part of war"
- Terribly equipped (soldiers have to buy their own uniforms, soldiers have to pay for medical treatment, soldiers have to substitute equipment with civilian clothing, soldiers are only issued with ...............30 to 60 rounds of ammunition, soldiers often go unfed)
- Renowned for warcrimes
- Terribly trained (have to be sent oversease/hire mercenaries/beg the americans for decent training) The only formations that perform vaugely well are those trained by foreigners/abroad

ATGM's = Nigeria has no modern ATGM's, instead they have to rely on the Swingfire (designed in 1966)

APC's = Their entire army only has less than 200 MRAP's, their APC's are an obsolete collection of hand me downs from Europe

Verdict: Nigeria posses'es one of the worst equipped militaries in Africa. This is not surprising though since their military has been in decline for over 16 years
