Maybe the current Seeker 400's in production are for the police or a private company, and not the SANDF smiley. But basic logic would make one wonder why there has never ever been any other links between Seeker 400 and anyone else besides the SANDF....*thinking out loud*

And to make things worse the Denel statement says that the drones are "in production for OUR local customer". I wonder who Denel deals with on such a regular basis for them to be comfortable enough to say "our" in a report. I wonder :-)

The Nigerian Bureau of Statistics released its foreign trade statistics Q2 2015 report, the report showed that the value of Nigeria’s exports totaled N2.8 trillion in Q2 2015, an increase of N214.1 billion or 8.0% over the value recorded in the preceding quarter, yet a decline of N1.8 billion or 38.5% year on year. The structure of the exports is still dominated by Crude Oil exports, which contributed N2.1 trillion or 73.7% to the value of total domestic exports in Q2 2015. Natural Liquefied Gas was the product with the second greatest export value, recording N260.7 billion or 9.1% of the total export value during the period under review. Exports classified by section revealed that Nigeria exported mainly ‘’Mineral Products’’, which accounted for N2.5 trillion or 87.3% of the total export value in Q2 of 2015. Other products exported by Nigeria include ‘’Vehicles, aircraft and parts thereof; vessels etc.’’ at N250.6 billion or 8.7%, Vegetable Products’’ at N36.7 billion or 1.3%, and ‘’Prepared foodstuffs; spirits and vinegar; tobacco’’ at N24.6 billion or 0.9% of the totals respectively. Nigeria exported goods mainly to India, Spain, Netherlands, South Africa and Brazil in the quarter of review, whose values stood at N406.1 billion (India), N297.4 billion (Spain), N296.3 billion (Netherlands), N240.9 billion (South Africa), and N147.8 billion (Brazil). By continent, Nigeria exported goods mainly to Europe and Asia, which accounted for N1 trillion or 36.9% and N823.8 billion or 28.6% of the total export value respectively during the period under review. Nigeria exported N554.3 billion or 19.3% to the continent of Africa while export to the ECOWAS region totaled N171.1 billion, or 30.9% of all exports to Africa. more on....http://nairametrics.com/nigerias-major-exports- went-to-india-spain-netherlands-south-africa-nbs/

We export rubber,cocoa,vegetable/palm/groundnut oil,food stuffs,tobacco etc..to South Africa.
SA buys most of its crude oil from Angola.

Nope, that's untrue. We buy most oil from Nigeria and before that we use to import most of it from Iran.

SA produces its own rubber, ground but, food stuff, etc. We are big in agricultural products.

We export plastic and rubber and how can we import it from Nigeria.

SA export groundnuts.

SA import most cocoa from Ghana

We have our own indigenous palm and is really not as lucrative in SA as is Nigeria. We don't use palm oil we prefer sunflower and olive oil instead.

The fact that you produce a material doesnt mean you dont import that same material: Nigeria exports aircrafts, vehicles and ships; yet that doesnt stop us from importing these same commodities in varying quantities.
Nigeria is the biggest producer of rubber, groundnut, sorghum and wheat in Africa.

Nigeria does not produce aircraft or ships, that was merely a category or section that confused the writers of the article.

The same way it could be seen at the link below. Check on your left is a list of categories or section of the collection of goods not necessarily produced or exported by that country but at least only one or few items mentioned on the category is produced by that country.

The only country which remains broke in Africa is none other than NIGERIA.

NIGERIA has no money to even pay its government workers and had to make loan to pay its workers.

You are broke and for now you can't buy weapons.

You are always lazy to do proper research.

That statement was political.

There are 36 states plus federal capital making it 37.

When oil price started dropping federal government decided to cut the allocation of all state government.
About six or seven state couldn't cope with slash cause they have already borrowed money for different reasons.

Is not federal government Dat did not pay salaries but few state governments. 37 - 7=30. It is still the federal government that bail them out.

I wish you guys are information literate.

What is this one saying?!
The NBS is Nigeria's premium trade monitoring agency; they supervise trade and NEXIM.It was the NBS that reported the data quoted in the article.
If the NBS says that we export vehicles, aircrafts and vessels; then it is accurate.
Everyone knows that we export vehicles{especially bicycles, motorcycles, tricycles and haulage trucks} and ships.

Your government did not have money and had to cash in from the bank just to get the salaries paid.

I say again that is merely a category and does not mean Nigeria export aircrafts and ships. Fortunately in that category there is vehicle which Nigeria has only started assembling recently.

Open this link and see that exports are categorised into sections which also included VEHICLES, AIRCRAFTS, VESSELS … all in one category.

GEJ government didn't want to cause. Most of the state affected were controlled by opposition party and it was even close to election but it didn't work for them and Buhari decided to relieve the state will about $1.7 billion that is enough to buy all your Frigate without stress.

Why do you resist common sense so much?.
STATE GOVERNMENT is different from FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
*FG is the overall supreme central authority of Nigeria
*SGs are regional semi-autonomous authorities that govern different sub-region of Nigeria.There are six regions/zones in Nigeria; North West,South West,South East,North East,South South,and North Central,Each region/zone has six states each,making a total of 36 states + FCT{Federal Capital Territory; Nigeria's administrative capital,it houses Abuja city}= 37 total states.
Now,7 states got broke; however, the FG came in to bail them out with approximately $2billion.
How does that make Nigeria broke?.Do you now understand?,yes?,excellent!,i knew you would eventually see sense.

WITH THE PRICE OF OIL DEEPENING TO ITS LOWEST VALUE NIGERIA WILL BE HURT THE MOST. OIL SALES CONSTITUTE NIGERIA'S 80% REVENUES.

NIGERIA TOTAL REVENUE = $23 BILLION
SA TOTAL REVENUE = $120 BILLION

Sorry to burst your bubbles.

The only bubble that got burst is yours. Its clear you are now trying to shift goals when you got exposed for talking shiiit. You can be the largest producer of wheat in west africa but don't come and claim you are the largest in africa that was the main point.

SA produces over 2 metric tons of wheat each year, way more then all west african production combined so just relax.

Cassava is a West african crop and SA has no use for it.

Nigeria has better climatic conditions then SA yet we manage to produce more crop yields then Nigeria overall so the onus is on you to improve your agriculture, you should've been leading us in all crop production yet you don't.
